Crazy for Daisies

Here is my card for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #17. I used the Pure Innocence stamp set called: Crazy for Daisies. The design paper is from Lilly Bee. Behind the ribbon strips are a sneak peek of one of the new Die-namics dies being released on May 3rd called Scalloped Ribbon. It was included in the VIP Kit for this month. Once again I just could not resist using the Die-namics Daisy dies. They are my favorite! The sentiment is also part of a Die-namic die called Textile Rectangle.

Only three days left of Spring Break!

Tuesday Morning Sketches DT Call-Part 2

It is another week of sketches here and Tuesday Morning Sketches is still seeking more entries for their design team. I threw my hat in the ring a few weeks ago, but am back with another entry. This week's sketch forced me to put my thinking cap on. The first thing I though of when I saw all the circles was clouds so that is where I went.

I grabbed my Die-namic Cloud dies and went to work. The clouds are cut from felt and hung in the sky with Twinery twine in Honeydew. The main image is from the MFT set called Snuggle Bunnies and is colored with Copics. The sides of the card are accented with mini pearls.

Check out the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog HERE to play along.

Monday Stampin'

It is great that the kids are on spring break this week and the weather is nice. The boys have been outside playing baseball for the last three days. It has given me some time to escape to my stamp room and play.

My first card is Sunday's CPS sketch. I used the Pure Innocence set called "You Color My World." For the background paper I used Basic Grey. Loved the bright polka dot colors. For the tag at the side, I used the Die-namics Fishtail Banner. The corners accented with Bella Baubles.

For my next card, I used last week's SCS sketch challenge. I used some Cosmo Cricket paper and added Die-namics Build a Daisy for the circle part of the sketch. I made the daisies look like sunflowers. The sentiment is from the Pure Innocence Flower Girl set. I stamped the girl as a silhouette on the inside.

That's all for today. Hope it is sunny and warm where you are today!

Weekend Stamping

I got a chance to do a little stamping this weekend. I did the Wednesday Stamp Club sketch and the Taylored Expression sketch.
For the Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 16 I used the Pure Innocence set called Believe in Magic. I paired it with My Mind's Eye paper. The image is matted with the Dizzy Doily Die-namic die. I added a flower made from the Pretty Posies Die-namics.
My card for this week's Taylored Expression sketch uses the new a la mode stamp called Grad Girl. It is getting to be that time for graduation so I made another card. I used some of the paper from the DCWV Grade School stack. The sides are accented with Scallop Die-namic borders.
That's the end of my post for today. My boys are on spring break so I'm note sure how much stamping time there will be this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches

This week's Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge was to make a surprise flip card. This was a first for me, but it was fun to make! I used the MFT set called Hello Sunshine. The design paper is from My Mind's Eye. I used some yummy MFT felt and the Pretty Posies Die-namics to make the flowers.
Here are pictures of the card flipped up. The sentiment is under the flap and on the pull tag.
Well this one just eeked in under the wire. My poor camera was out of batteries. Happy Easter!

April Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Taylored Expression Blast from the Past Blog Hop. This is my first blog hop in quite a while. The theme for this month is "Clean and Simple." For my card, I used the Cuppie Loves Scenes. I just love the cuppies! I chose the hot air balloon image and colored my image with Copics. The design paper is some scraps I had in my bin. It is double sided so I used both sides. The sun and clouds are made from Die-namic dies. The cloud is made of felt. The center of the sun is accented with a clear button and some Lemondrop Twine.

You can see all the names on the hop below so
keep hopping! Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday Stamp Club 15

It is time to get sketchy with MFT. For my card I chose to use the "You Mean the World to Me" a la Mode set. Isn't she cute? There are a ton of Die-namics dies on this card. I used the Wave and Grass Borders at the bottom and the Sun and Flat Bottom Clouds at the top. Since the waves made me think of the beach, I used tan felt to make some dune grass. The clouds are also made of MFT felt. The middle layer is embossed with the Swirl Cuttlebug Folder.

I also had time to do the CPS sketch this week. I used the MFT PI Graduation Boy to make a card for my husband to give one of the guys in the Youth Group. The design paper is from the October Afternoon Schoolhouse collection. The stars were made using MFT's Star Die-namic die. I filled the starts with buttons and Twinery Twine in Lemondrop and Black. I also used some red twine that I got from a recent trip to Carlo's Bakery. I always keep their twine from the bakery boxes.

I think that is finally it for today. Happy stamping!

Tuesday Morning Sketches DT Call

Tuesday Morning Sketches has put out a design team call and since I love participating in their weekly sketches, I decided to throw my card in the ring. Below is the sketch for this week.

Here is my card for this sketch. I used the "Here's the Story" a la Mode set from MFT. There is a mix of design paper on my card. I used some scraps of Navy Stars and Stripes paper from Gina K and some October Afternoon Schoolhouse paper. The arrows were cut out on my Cricut. The star is from the MFT Die-namic Stars die.

Please feel free to play along. Have a great day!

Mojo Monday

Below is my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I broke out the MFT Pure Innocence set "Bedtime Stories" because I needed an image with a square shape. The design paper is from My Mind's Eye and I used the scraps to paper piece the bedspread and lamp shade. I used the Die-namics Open Scallop border and some yummy Twinery Twine in Tangerine.

My other card card is today's sketch challenge on SCS. I used the "You Mean the World to Me" a la Mode set from MFT. It is getting time to think about teacher's gifts and the end of the school year so I made a teacher card. I used the October Afternoon Schoolhouse paper collection. The card is accented with Die-namics Pretty Posies that I made out of scraps of the October Afternoon Schoolhouse paper and then added leaves from the Daisy Die-namic die.

Stay tuned for more...

Need to find better lighting...

It seems like it is getting harder and harder to get a good picture. Both pictures were taken outside in my light box and they still do not seem that bright to me. I may have to take my dad up on his offer of using one of his studio lights.

I got the chance to play along with last week's sketch challenge on SCS. I used the Fred Bear set called Oopsie Daisy. The design paper is from MFT's Easter Daisies. I used the Daisy Die-namics as an accent.

My next card is this week's Taylored Expressions sketch. I used the set called "Bakery Business." The DP is from My Mind's Eye's Tickled Pink collection. The flower is made from the Pretty Posies Die-namic die.

It is the start of baseball season here so my card making time is about to get more limited. Hoping to get some time tomorrow to do the Mojo sketch and the Tuesday Morning sketch. See ya!

Wednesday Stamp Club 14

Today I finally get a chance to post my card for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club. I actually finished it on Wednesday, but this is the first chance I have had to post it here. I used the Pure Innocence set called "Tree Swing." There is just something so cute about this sweet little boy and his dog. I used a bunch of MFT Die-namics on this card including Star Border, Dizzy Doily, Open Scallop Border, and Textured Rectangle. The paper is from My Mind's Eye.
I also completed the Tuesday Morning sketch for this week using the Pure Innocence set called "Butterfly Kisses." I used the circle in the sketch to make a sun out of the Dainty Doily Die-namic die and then cut tons of strips from the Grass Border Die-namic to make the bottom of the card.
I have another card mostly done, but had to take my mom to the hospital yesterday so I did not get to finish it. When I get it done, I will post it here. Have a great weekend!

Catchin' up on Sketches

I got to spend this morning catching up on some sketches. The first one is last week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #13. I used the Pure Innocence stamp set called "Daffodil." The design paper is from My Mind's Eye Stella Rose collection. I used the outside the box technique to pop out the edge of the daffodil. The flower was made using MFT's Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die-namics.

Next up is Sunday's Card Positioning Systems sketch #212. I used a Pure Innocence digital stamp for this one. I got her online from Heather Ellis' digit store. I gave my mom the Easter cards I had made for my nieces so I had to work on some new ones. The design paper is from My Mind's Eye again and I added the Die-namics Mini Banner Strip. Along the top of the banner, I used twine and brads. The word "Easter" is from the Mini Banner Day alphabet.

Last up is yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch #185. I used another Pure Innocence digi and covered her in yellow Sparkly Fluff and ivory Flower Soft for her tail. Again the paper is from My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose collection.

That's all for today. Have a great day!

MFT Guest DT Challenge April 2011

This month's Guest Designer Challenge for MFT is on. The theme for this month is Shabby Chic. Not a style I do too often, but I gave it a whirl. I think I may have worn my good scissors out with all that distressing.

For my card, I used the April sketch from SFYTT. The design paper is from My Mind's Eye Stella Rose collection called Hazel. I used some CTMH Grey Wool paper for my base and stamped my image in CTMH Grey Wool ink. I colored her with Copics. The whole care is generously inked with Bamboo ink from CTMH. I added the Sheltering Tree Die-namic layered with mini silk flowers and mini pearls. The grass along the bottom is a scrap of the negative side of Grass Die-namic that I had in my scrap pile. Along the bottom of the card I used three ribbon roses from a Tim Holtz ribbon collection I had stashed away and added three larger pearls in the centers. The cute little Pure Innocence girl is from the set "You're So Tweet."

After a busy couple of days, it will be nice to hang at home tonight and watch movies with the hubs after a yummy dinner at Chili's though!
