Ismaki 25

This card is for my friend, Sandy, whose birthday is on June 30th. I used the sketch from Ismaki 25. The DP is Basic Grey. The stamp is Curly Surpriseabella from Stamping Bella. The inside of the card says, "but growing up is optional."

BCC34/TECC21

This card was done with a sketch from Taylored Expression and uses the color challenge from the Stamping Bella forum on SCS. The stamp is Belinda Bumberboots from Stamping Bella. The colors for the challenge were sunflower, topiary, and goldrush. All of the paper and embellishments are CTMH.

Katharina YAOB/Sugar Nellie/Papertake Challenge

I was reading the Sugar Nellie blog today and they posted a challenge in coordination with Katharina's YAOB Sunday Challenge. The challenge was to make a card using both a Sugar Nellie stamp and one of Katharina's sketches. Here is my card using Sitting Nellie from Sugar Nellie. The DP is Boom-Di-A-Da from CTMH. This is the first time I inked up this stamp. She is just so adorable though I am sure it will not be the last. You can check out all of the other cards on Katharina's blog at: www.katharina1704.blogspot.com. This is also the Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch so I guess it is a 2 for 1.

Monday Challenge Cards

This card is for the Mojo 43 challenge on Poetic Artistry. I used Rainy Day Maggie from Sugar Nellies. The DP is Basic Grey.

This card is for Bella Sketch Challenge 34. I used the Daisy VW stamp from Stamping Bella. I stamped the background with my new Spot On Backgrounds from CTMH.

The last one is from MFT36. The stamp is Chamomile from My Favorite Things. I used some old K & Company paper that I have had forever. The flowers and flower pot are colored with Pearlescent watercolors to give them some shine.

Hanna PJ Party Challenges

Hanna Stamps had their big release party on Splitcoast last Friday night. Kristi released 20 new Riley stamps. At the party they posted five challenges, each with a different theme. The first one was to make a card using the colors of your bedroom. I used Bookworm Hanna for the card. The colors of my bedroom are blue, green, chocolate, and tan.

The second challenge was to use stars. I used both the Campfire Riley and Tent Riley to create a camping scene and then accented it with star brads and star eyelets.

The third challenge was a "fuzzy" challenge. Something on your card had to be fuzzy. Since I do not have any Fun Flock, I stamped Riley onto a piece of faux suede and paper pieced him to the card. The suede is actually might lighter in person although on the scan it looks very dark.

Challenge four was to "get punchy." You had to use at least two different punches on your card. I used my giga circle punch and my two oval punches. The stamp is Coffee Riley.

The fifth and final challenge was an inspiration challenge. There were pictures of three pair of pajamas posted and you had to pick one and design a card around it. I picked the pair of pajamas that was turquoise and green floral. The stamp I used was Cafe Hanna. I used three kinds of ribbon as an accent and then hung a charm from the ribbons.

Thanks for checking out my weekend of fun. Later.

Hanna, Bella & MFT Challenges

Here are Monday's challenge cards. The one above is the new I-wish-I-Looked-So-Good-On-A-Bikahbella. This is from the BSC33 on Splitcoast. The DP is Basic Grey's Phoebe.

Below is Hula Riley. This is from the HSC21 on SCS. The DP is CTMH. I stitched around the image with Sunflower Waxy Flax.

Below is the Anthony Challenge on SCS's Hanna Stamps forum. The challenge was to use the new Anthony stamp. I added the new Bookworm Hanna with it. These images together reminded me of the Cleavers from Leave It To Beaver. The inside of the card says, "but you are a classic to us. Happy Anniversary!"

The last card is for the My Favorite Things challenge on SCS. I used the Here's The Scoop stamp set. The DP is by Stacy Claire Boyd. There are grass baubles on each side of the sentiment too.

Mojo Monday 42

I found another great sketch blog called Poetic Artistry. Julee does a sketch every Monday. I did last week's sketch, but forgot to post it to her blog. This is the sketch for this week. I used my new Shoe Bag stamp from Stamping Bella and the Hey Girlfriend stamp from Sweet n Sassy Stamp's set called Trendy Shoes. The DP is Basic Grey and I used red ribbon down the left side. The BonBons on the left side of the shoe bag are pink although they did not scan very well. TFL!

Today's Cards

Here is a new Chichiboulie stamp from Stamping Bella called "Betty Bombshell." I colored her in with CTMH markers and used my new Pearlescent Watercolors to do the background. What you can't see in the picture is the sparkle on the background. It has a fine pearly glow.

This one and the next one are done with new stamps from MFT. I got them from their June collection. The one above is "Take a Break" from their new line called My Favorite Things Presents. It is also colored with the Pearlescent Watercolors.

This one is from the "What's Up Cupcake" set. The design paper is Basic Grey. I used the watercolors to color the icing. Thanks for stopping by.

My Favorite Things

My Favorite Things had their June release party last Wednesday and during the party they posted several challenges. I got to do them all over the weekend so here they are:

This one was a challenge to use black. I used the Silhouette paper from CTMH to make this card using "How Sweet It Is" from MFT.

This challenge was to use the Paper Tole Technique which is basically using several layers to build up your image. I used the MFT set "Serenity Now."

The third challenge was to make a 3x3 card and envelope. I used the cake image from the "You Take The Cake" set. The paper is Basic Grey.

Finally...

I have been trying to download pictures to my blog for a few days and whenever I sit down to do it, something happens. Either the kids need something or blogger won't upload photos or the dog need to go out. Well I finally managed to get a couple cards uploaded.

I did this one with "Funky Clothesline" from Stamping Bella. When I saw this stamp I ordered it right away. Love it!

I made this card for my dad for Father's Day. He loves golf and now that he lives close by hopefully we will get to play together a lot. Although the 105 head index today does not make golfing sound fun at all. The stamp is Golfafella and the paper is Basic Grey and CTMH.

I used my Garden Hanna set again for a challenge on SCS's Hanna Stamps forum. This challenge was to use circles, so I used all of the small stamps in the set.

My in-laws' anniversary is tomorrow so I made this card for them. I love this "Fella and his Bella" stamp. All of the paper is CTMH.

I made this card for my "neice" Lyndsay. She is graduating from 8th grade next week and is asking for a computer as her graduation gift. On the inside I wrote that I hoped all of her graduation wishes came true.

This is another challenge card on the Hanna Stamps forum. This one was entitles "Cafe Au Latte." The challenge was to use chocolate and cream as your color palette.

I made this one for my parent's anniversary at the end of the month. When I was a little girl we had a Westie that looked like these dogs only Fluffy was white. The inside said "Happily ever after..." This stamp is called "Butch and Mimi" from Stamping Bella.

I entered this card into the July Homepage contest on the Bellaholics Anonymous Yahoo Group. I used Bikahbabeabella from Stamping Bella. She has Stickles galore all over her bike and her jacket.

Well I will probably load more cards later as I did not upload all of the pictures of what I have done over the weekend. More soon.

Rakles from Lisbet

Lisbet is giving away Rakle stamps as blog candy on her blog. Check it out at: www.scrapmagasinet.blogspot.com. I really like these stamps. Unfortunately they are not available in the U.S. All you have to do to be entered to win them is to post a message on her blog with a link back to a message on your own blog. Good luck!

Sweet Sugar Challenges 1 & 2

There is a new Sugar Nellies challenge blog that started last week called "A Spoon Full of Sugar". Since I missed the first challenge (summer theme), I decided to combine the two challenges to create one card. The theme for this week was to use blue, green, and pink in any shade. This image is Hamish and Maggie at the beach. I used scraps of Close to My Heart paper to make the card itself and used chalks to fill in around the image, although they are really hard to see in the scan.

TECC17

I finally got back to do the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 17. I used a Hamish stamp from Sugar Nellies. This is also a birthday card for one of Dylan's friends. The paper is CTMH. I will post the Cupcake Challenge 18 card later this week. I am waiting for my new Stella's Cupcake stamp to arrive on Thursday.

Cute Card Thursday #11

Well I finally got around to last week's Cute Card Thursday sketch challenge. I always love it when Katharina does the sketches. I altered this one a bit since I do not have any oval punches big enough for the image I wanted to use. I also moved the sentiment since it would not fit in at the top. You can check out the challenge at www.cutecardthursday.blogspot.com.

Ismaki Challenge 22

Here is the Ismaki Challenge card I did for this week's challenge. The stamp set is from Stampin' Up. I got is ages ago and have hardly used it, so I pulled it out for this challenge. I made the card with the colors from Splitcoast Stampers color challenge this week. My son, Dylan, has a party to go to soon so I made a birthday card.

This Week's Challenge Cards

This card uses Hot Stuff from My Favorite Things. It was for MFTSC33 on Splitcoast. The paper is from CTMH.

This is another Splitcoast Challenge card from the Stamping Bella forum (BSC31). I made this card for our friend Tony whose birthday was yesterday. I saw him on Sunday and totally forgot about his birthday so this card will definitely be late.

I finally got around to doing the Hanna Stamps challenge from last week (HSC19). The challenge for this card to was "Dress Up." I paper-pieced her overalls with denim paper from CTMH. The inside of the card says "Let's Dish the Dirt."
