MFT Guest DT Challenge January 2012

For this month, the challenge for the MFT Guest DT spot is to paper piece. Unfortunately for me, this was not as easy at it seemed. I love this new Pure Innocence stamp called Plane Amazing. I always wanted to learn how to fly. I chose to use the MME-Kraft Happy Days paper pack for this card. It is a very thick paper and was not easy to paper piece onto her jumpsuit. I cut out the suit and then layered the belt and pocket on top. The clouds and waves are Die-namics dies, as well as the sentiment label. It worked perfectly that I had a plane button in my stash which I tied with some Waxy Flax.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 52

It's Wednesday right? I think it is the first Wednesday in a long time I actually got the Wednesday Stamp Club sketch done on Wednesday. This week finishes a year of sketches for MFT.

For my card, I used the Die-namics stamp and die set called First Class Friend. I paired it with the My Mind's Eye paper pack called Love Me. The little heart is from the Die-namics set called Notched Tag.

Have a great Wednesday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 126

Happy Tuesday and Happy Birthday to me! (I won't tell how old I am.) I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I'm glad you tuned in for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Our sponsor this week is Print Candee. For today's sketch, we are revisiting an old sketch. It is nice and easy so have fun!

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence set from MFT called Ice Princess. I layered it onto the Die-namics die called Oval Open Scallop Doily. The top of her dress is paper pieced with the reverse of the background paper and her skirt is covered with blue Stickles. I added a paper flower from my stash that matched perfectly and colored her skates with white marker.

Enjoy the rest of you week. Be sure to check out the other DT members blogs and leave them some love. (The addresses are listed to the right.) Now time for cake!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 125

Welcome to another sketch Tuesday Morning Sketches. Our sponsor this week is Paper Pretties.

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence set called "Heart Warmer." The DP is from My Mind's Eye. I love the blue and brown paper in this paper pack.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT for more goodies! See you again next week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 124

Happy Tuesday! This week our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. Be sure to check them out. They offer freebies too! The current freebie is a really cute nutcracker. This week is also a challenge week and this challenge is new to me, but is pretty popular. It is B-I-N-G-O! So use the bingo board below along with the sketch to create your card. Have fun!

For my card, I used the bottom row of the bingo board. I just love this image from Bugaboo. It was a freebie a few weeks ago. I used some Basic Grey paper I had hanging around from last Christmas. For my lace border, I used the MFT Die-namics die called Dizzy Border. The accents at the corners are red pearl dots. Since I printed my image on ivory paper, I used a white marker to colors Santa's beard white. The fur around his coat is ivory Flower Soft. My snowflake is cut from cork.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to visit the other DT member's blogs and leave them some love too!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 49

I got a chance to play along with last week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. I used the new set called "Baby Lamb in a Manger" and paired it with Basic Grey paper. For the stars, I used the star from the Die-namics set called Notched Tag and then added some glitter.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 123

Wow! I can't believe I forgot to post this. My brain must be turning to marshmallow puff. Things have been busy here with hockey, our anniversary trip, and Living Christmas Tree rehearsals. Unfortunately the challenge is over, but here is my card anyway.

Our sponsor this week was Tiffany Doodles. My stamp is called Snow Couple. I used My Mind'e Eye paper and cut it with my large Spellbinder's die.

Stay tuned for another sketch tomorrow!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 122

It is Tuesday again and I am afraid I do not have a sample to share with you this week. I have spent the last week on the couch sick with an upper respiratory infection and never got a chance to finish my card. Thanksgiving is no fun when you can't taste the food. I'm still hungry for turkey!

This week's challenge is sponsored by Stretch n Bubbles. I love this sketch and hope to be able to finish my card soon. When I do, I will post it here.

Be sure to check out the other design team members for some fun samples.

Update:
I finally got mine done. I used the new Pure Innocence Snowman from MFT as my main image and lots of snowflake punches to make the background.

Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 121

Hello! Welcome to another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week's sketch was designed by ME! Our sponsor this week is Stamp Fairy!

For my card, I made another birthday card. I used the Pure Innocence set called Karate Boy and paired it with My Mind's Eye paper. The stars are left overs cut with the Star Die-namic that I cut out a while ago and had sitting on my desk.

Be sure to check out the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog to see all of the girls cards for this sketch and to post your card for a chance to win free stamps from the Stamp Fairy.

First Christmas Card

Can you believe Thanksgiving is a little over a week away and I am just now starting to make Christmas cards?! Oh boy! Luckily I was at AC Moore yesterday and found a bunch of 6 x 6 Christmas paper packs from My Mind's Eye. It is going to be fun to play with them this weekend.

My card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club uses one of their new stamp lines called Precious Little Lamb. This set is called Wish Upon a Star. I paired it with some left over Basic Grey paper from last year. It is pretty simple, but I like how it turned out.

Have a great day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 120

Happy Tuesday! Here is today's sketch. Our sponsor for this week is The Stamping Boutique. This is a judged challenge with a bonus theme of "Give Thanks."

Here is my card. Now you may be wondering what this has to do with giving thanks, well...I totally forgot this was the theme for the week when I made my card. My boys both needed birthday cards for this weekend and this was what I came up with. Now here is where the thankful part comes in. My boys both have birthday parties on Saturday and I am thankful that my house will stay clean for at least a couple or hours while they are out.

My card uses the Pure Innocence Snowboard Boy. The background paper is from My Mind's Eye and the snow is cut from glitter paper using the Wonky Scallop Border Die-namic die.

Be sure to check out the other girl's blogs and leave some love. All the DT blogs are listed on the sidebar. Have a great day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 119

I am back with another week of Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week our sponsor is There She Goes. Be sure to play along for a chance to win!

For my card, I made another baby card. I used the a la modes set called Oh Baby! I had to search through my stash to find baby paper though. I finally came across some old Close to my Heart paper that would work perfectly. To do the accent on the side, I cut my paper with the Die-namics Bracket Edge die.
Be sure to stop and leave some love for the DT girls! Have a great day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 118

Happy Tuesday! This week's sketch is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish. Here's the sketch:

For my card, I used the MFT Who's that Girl set called "My How You've Grown." I needed a baby card and I just love this image. The paper is My Mind's Eye. Of course, I had to add some bling and glitter buttons.

Be sure to check out the DT girls blogs and play along with us!

MFT Guest DT Challenge November 2011

It has been quite a while since I was able to participate in the MFT Guest Designer challenge, but I made time to play along this month. I was looking through my stamps and the cute little bee from the Pure Innocence-Honey Bee set caught my eye. This month's challenge was to "Bling It On." My bling on this card is a bit a-typical. I used black glitter swirls and flowers along with some rhinestone swirls.

It was fun to play with this set again, it has been awhile. I paired her with some paper from Lily Bee (no pun intended) and made some flowers with the scraps using the Die-namics Prima Donna Petals.

That all for now!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 117

It's Tuesday! Hooray! We have another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! For our sponsor this week, we welcome back Tiffany Doodles.

I loved this sketch, and made my card relatively simple. It is pink, of course, for breast cancer awareness month. This week I used another breast cancer stamp from MFT called Fight Like a Girl. I layered her with lots of My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose paper. At the ends of the sentiment I added a pink ribbon from the new Who's that Girl? stamp set I used last week.

Have a great Tuesday! Be sure to play along with us this week too!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 116

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week we have two sponsors! Our sponsors for this week are Print Candee and DRS Designs. Since we have two sponsors, that means more prizes! Our sketch for this week is designed by Theresa.

For my card, I continued to the theme for this month of using pink for breast cancer awareness and paired it with the new Who's that Girl stamp from MFT. Instead of a diamond shaped center, I went for a circle and used the Die-namics Decorative Doily. You know how much I love Die-namics dies. I never by flowers anymore when I can make them instead. I used a new Rolled Mum die for the flower and added a swirl behind it.

That's my card for this week. Be sure to check up on the DT girls and, of course, play along!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 41

Wow! It seems like forever since I had the chance to participate in Wednesday Stamp Club. This week, I made time to do it since, unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card.

For my card, I used some My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose paper for the background and accents. The image is matted on the Die-namics die called Layered Label. The flowers and swirl are also Die-namics dies from MFT. The sentiment for the card, as well as the one inside, are from the MFT set called Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.

That's it for today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 115

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week our sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs. We have another fun sketch for you designed by Melissa. Since it is a contest week, we also have an added twist!

This week's twist is an inspiration challenge. As soon as I saw this bag, I thought the pattern looked familiar. It turns out I had paper in my stash that is a pretty close match to this bag (see below).
Here is my card. The paper is Basic Grey. Since there is an added challenge to use pink this month for Breast Cancer Awareness month, I used the image "Cureabella" from Stamping Bella. The flowers were all made using scraps from my bin and the Die-namics die called Prima Donna Petals.

Now, go get creative!

TMS 114

It's Tuesday Morning Sketch time! This week's sketch is sponsored by One Stop Cards. I love the concept of this sketch, but my execution was a bit of a challenge. I didn't know what to use to make a larger circle card so I used my Nestabilities to make a smaller circle and then layered it on a square card.

I made this card for my sister, Holly. Her birthday was September 14th so I am a bit late. Going back to work after being a stay at home mom for 9 years is a bit of an adjustment. My house is a mess. I haven't cooked very much for the last two weeks. And my craft room has been sorely neglected. I have at least managed to keep the kids in clean clothes. Having kids playing hockey and baseball have kept our nights and weekends pretty busy too.

Enough of the mundane details. Here is my card for this week. I used My Minds Eye Stella Rose paper for the background then layered this week's sketch on top. For the center of the card, I used the MFT Die-namic and stamp set called First Class Friend cut from black and cream cardstock. The flowers were made from the MFT Die-namic die called Pretty Posies.

Well that's it for me today. Be sure to check out the rest of the TMS DT girls to see what they have been up to this week.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 113

Happy Tuesday! It's sketch time again! This week's sketch is from DT member, Theresa. Our sponsor this week is There She Goes. Be sure to play along for the chance to win some free goodies.

My card is a loose interpretation of Theresa's sketch. Instead of an oval, I changed it to a circle. For this card, I again pulled out a bunch of scraps from Basic Grey and Close to My Heart. I guess I was in the mood for fall colors. I was going to use the stamp from Pure Innocence stamp with the girl holding the pumpkin, but then my happy mail came today with this stamp so I just had to use it. It is the Pure Innocence Sunflower Girl.

The sunflower accent was made from the Die-namics Build a Daisy die. I used glue dots to attach it to the ribbon center.

Check out the DT blogs for more deliciousness!

TMS 112

Happy Tuesday Morning! It is time for another fabulous sketch. This week our sponsor is DRS Designs.

For my card this week, I chose to make a birthday card. All of the design paper is from various stacks of My Mind's Eye paper. I went searching through my scrap bin and collected anything that matched. I used the MFT stamp and Die-namics set called "By the Number" for my card and accented it with Die-namics Stars. The postage stamp base is from the MFT set called "First Class Friend."
Have a great Tuesday! Be sure to check out what the other DT members have up their sleeves for todays sketch!

TMS 111

Good Morning! I am back from vacation. Still can't believe we actually got to go after an earthquake and a hurricane the week we were to leave, but we made it to the Outer Banks of North Caroline a day late and had a blast! Now it is back to school for the boys and back to work for me. I am starting back to work after being a stay at home mom for nine years. Luckily I am easing back into it part-time and working as a teacher's aide in my friend's pre-school class.

Today's sketch is from Kathy and our sponsor this week is Whimsie Doodles. I just love the stamp that they supplied for us this month! The cute little school boy is just right for a mom of boys. This week is also a judged challenge with the extra challenge of Inside/Outside. So be sure to add something special to the inside of your card as well.
I pulled out my Schoolhouse paper pack from October Afternoon and set to work. I used the Notebook Edge Die-namic, as well as the Retro Flower Die-namic. Now I know the challenge was Inside/Outside and I promise I did finish the inside. However, it is next to impossible to photograph the inside of a card on black cardstock with out getting a glare. None of the pictures I took came out, but I will tell you what is inside. Inside at the bottom is the card is a scallop border with the red DP from the front of the card and a tab on top that says "You're A Class Act."
That's it for me today. Be sure to check out the other DT members blogs for more TMS goodness!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 110

Happy Tuesday! Below is this week's sketch! Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps. Since I had to do this week's sketch way ahead because of vacation, I checked out the Bugaboo website and found an adorable freebie!

I flipped my sketch to suit the image I had. My image is this adorable Baseball Boy. This is so perfect for my family as we are huge baseball fans. I color him with Copics in the colors of the Phillies road uniforms. I used My Mind's Eye-Lime Twist paper and small strips of red ribbon.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT for more goodies!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 109

Well it's that time again! Happy Tuesday! Tuesday Morning Sketches is sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop this week.

For my sketch, I used Digi Doodle Shop's Flip Flop since that is what I will be wearing by the time you read this post. I am on vacation in North Carolina sitting on the beach! (insert happy dance here) I used a bunch of summer paper to go with my happy shoes! The design paper is from Echo Park.

Check out the TMS design teams blogs for more fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 108

It's Tuesday again and you know what that means...Tuesday Morning Sketches! Today our sketch is from one of our DT members Jessica. Our sponsor is Tiffany Doodles.

For my card, I went pretty simple. I decided to put an image at the top because I have had the Tiffany Doodles image on my desk for quite a while and it fit perfectly in this space. The image is from the Forsythia collection. I added a strip of design paper to the bottom from Basic Grey then layered on six yellow flowers from my stash. The centers of the flowers are brown pearls. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! Be sure to check out the DT blogs for more TMS goodness!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 107

It's time for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week is a double challenge. Not only is there a prize from our sponsor Stamp Fairy, but it is also a judges challenge. Beside the sketch, it is also a color challenge. The colors to be included in your card are blue, green, and white.

Since, Stamp Fairy is our sponsor this week, they were kind enough to supply is with some images to play with. I used this cute teddy bear called Barry. For my design paper, I used Lily Bee Picket Fence and embossed it with a snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder. For they circle element, I used the smalled Decoration Doily Die-namic then added a double snowflake.

Remember to check in on the rest of the TMS design team to see what goodies they have for this sketch. Happy Tuesday!

Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge 144

Can you see me doing the happy dance? I am so excited! This is my week to play along with the TESC Sketch Crew! Taylor sent me the sketch early to play along! Yay! The sketch is below so give it a try!

For my card, I used my favorite cuppies, the Downtown Divas cuz who doesn't need a little retail therapy now and then. I paired the girls with some My Mind's Eye-Lime Twist paper. Instead of a flower, I used the Taylored Die Shopping Bag and Label set. I filed the bag with a dried out (and clean) baby wipe and added the handle out of Twinery Twine.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Sketch Crew below:

August SFYTT

Since my hubby is watching football, I decided to go down to the craft room and play with this month's Sketch for You to Try.

The set I chose is MFT's Inspired by Summertime. I just love the table with the lemonade on top. Nothing says summer like lemonade. I went with a more monochromatic color scheme and used Lily Bee Picket Fence papers.

Have a great night and remember, football time is stamping time!
