Five Card Thursday

Sounds like a card game...no pun intended. Well I managed to carve out some time before and after dinner to get some cards done. My first card is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I used Flower Girl from My Favorite Thing's Pure Innocence line. She is just so sweet. The design paper is from Basic Grey.

The next one is for MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club. The challenge this week was threefold. Part one was Glitzy Glitter, part two was hand cut grass, and part three was to follow Kim's card design. I used the set Hangin' with my Peeps for this card. The design paper is also by MFT. The grass and the flower are both made of glitter paper from Target.

This one is the Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I used Weightwatchabella. The design paper is Die Cuts with a View's Glitter Stack. I made this card to encourage a friend who is dieting.

This card is for both the Riley and Company challenge this week which was to use pastel colors and this week's sketch challenge on Splitcoast. This card also uses DCWV's Glitter Stack.

The last card is for my husband. He is my computer guy. This image is Noah the Computer Guy from Stamping Bella. I paired it with MFT's Mr. Roboto digi paper. The sentiment is also from MFT.

That's it for tonight. Check back tomorrow for Bellarific Friday.

Rainy Day Monday

It was such a busy weekend around here that I did not have a chance to upload any of the cards I did on Saturday. Today was a rainy day and I managed to add a couple to what I did on Saturday.

The first one is actually today's Mojo Monday challenge. I used Summer Fun from Stamping Bella's Turtle Tots line. Don't they make you long for summer? I went for some bright summer colors on this.

This one is for two challenges. I used the sketch from CPS to complete Sparkle's Christmas card challenge. The stamp set is from Stampin' Up and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.

This next one is for two challenges also. I used the Elzybell's sketch to go with the Crazy 4 Challenges theme of spring. I never seem to have enough Easter cards, so I figured I would do another to go along with some of the others I did this year.

Being a mom of boys, it is always good to have boy cards lying around. This card uses the TESC sketch from Friday. I used Birthday Boy from Stamping Bella. The paper is a mix of papers from Basic Grey.

The last card uses the Viva La Verve sketch for last week. I used the cupcakes from Bakery Business by Taylored Expressions. The hearts were made with Memory Maker's Tag Maker.

This is a busy week, so hopefully I will find some time to play again before Friday. Hope the rainy day brings you rainbows!

Bellarific Friday 3/19/10

It is a monochromatic Bellarific Friday. I chose this great paper from DCWV's Glitter Stack. I am usually more of a color person, but when I saw the black and white paper in this pack, I fell in love. I paired it with some scraps of this great glitter paper from Target. The stamp is an oldie called Frizzybella from Stamping Bella. When in doubt, always pull out a Bella. Don't you just love her boots!

Well that's it for now. Happy Friday!

A Night Alone

With my hubby and boys out at Awana last night, I got a chance to spend some uninterrupted time in my stamp room. My first card is this week's sketch from Mercy. I used Sunshiny Day from MFT's Pure Innocence collection. The paper is also from MFT's Spring Paper Pack. Keeping the MFT theme going, I used their Adornment iridescent flowers.

My second card uses Ice Cream Riley from Riley and Company. I was inspired by all of the Riley sneak peeks going on this week from the Riley and Company release last night. I pulled out a long neglected stamp and my Doodlebug Designs paper and got to work. This card makes me long for summer.

Hope you have blue skies and warm weather where you are. I am off to enjoy the sun!

Monday Ramblings

Wow! What a crazy Sunday. As we were on our way home from church, the car suddenly started spinning. Considering we were on a major highway, we did not hit anyone and no one hit us, but we did spin into a tree. Everyone is safe, but the car is seriously messed up. So needless to say, I was too stressed to do anything yesterday. After dealing with the insurance and the body shop this morning, I managed to go down and stamp a bit this afternoon.

I went for a non-traditional Christmas card for Sparkle's Christmas card challenge this week. This week was a sketch challenge. I used Halobella from Stamping Bella. The sentiment inside says "Let the heavens sing, it's Christmas" from Close to my Heart's Christmas Heaven set. The paper is from Basic Grey. The dots are the reverse side of the snowflake paper.

This card uses the CPS challenge from this week. I used Warm Wishes from High Hopes as my main image. Isn't he cute? This week's challenge on the High Hopes blog was Flutterby, basically anything that flies or has wings. The dragon wings and flames are jazzed up with Stickles.

My last card today is a sympathy card. I used paper from Close to my Heart called Veranda. The stamp set is Notes of Prayer by Verve Stamps. I used the Mojo 130 sketch as well.

That's it for me today. Have a safe night.

High Hopes Challenge 66

I don't usually do the High Hopes challenges because I only have a few High Hopes stamps and most of them are Christmas related. As I was blog hopping this morning, I stumbled across this week's challenge on the High Hopes blog and it was Stars. This is the card I made yesterday for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge this week. Coincidence huh? I think I am going to have to dust off the few non-Christmas High Hopes stamps I have and get to work!

Friday Fun

Today was a teacher in-service day at the boys school so everyone got to sleep in, LOL! My boys woke me up to ask me to take them to Walmart to get new Lego sets that they had saved for. We went to breakfast at Chick-fil-a on the way. Yum! So with the boys happily playing with their new Legos, I got to spend some time downstairs stamping.

My first card is today's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge. I used Owlie Sign from Stamping Bella. The design paper is a mix of Basic Grey and Diecuts with a View from my scrap box.

The next card is for Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge. I used one of the Gorguss Girls from Sugar Nellies called Untamed. I just wish I had hair like this. The DP is very sparkly, you just can't tell from the picture. It is from DCWV's Glitter Stack.

Last is an Easter card. I used Cracked Up Huggabug from Stamping Bella. The paper is retired CTMH paper that I found in my scrap box.

Tomorrow is a free Saturday, so hopefully that means more stamping time for me. See ya!

Bellarific Friday 3/12/10

It's Bellarific Friday again and I have been watching the sneak peeks one the Bella Babes' blogs all week and was inspired by the cute new Turtle Tots being released today from Stamping Bella. There are 22 new stamps being released today!

Now about the card...I used this week's sketch from Taylored Expressions. The stamp is Birthday Wishes from the Turtle Tots line. The paper is from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry collection. The number and sentiment are from MFT's Bling Bet. The border of cupcakes is the cupcake border punch from Martha Stewart.

This card will be off in the mail today to my niece, Alix, who turns 6 on Monday!

Hopefully the weekend with bring time for stamping wherever you are!

A Long Week

The ladies retreat was wonderful, but I came home to two sick children, a sick husband, and then the stomach virus for me. Ugh! I then spent most of the week on the couch with bouts of nausea and just plain laziness. It was not until tonight that I summoned enough energy to go downstairs and actually stamp something.

I have been looking at templates all week and decided to give the mushroom template from MFT a try for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club. The challenge for this week was to use any MFT template and any Pure Innocence stamp to make a project.

This is my mushroom card. I used paper from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry collection. The edges of the mushroom are inked with CTMH Brown Bag ink. To jazz it up and bit I added twill ribbon, MFT buttons, and some twine thread. There are tiny rhinestone hearts on her dress and in her hair, as well as a rhinestone on her wand cuz hey a fairy needs to sparkle!

Goodnight. Back tomorrow with Bellarific Friday.

Bellarific Friday 3/5/10

Welcome to another Bellarific Friday! This week's theme is Polka Dots! As you can tell by this card, I was seeing spots when I was done! I did this card a week ahead since by the time this post showed up here, I will be at the ladies retreat in Cape May, NJ.

I used Yourmynumberoneabella because of her polka dots with Doodlebug Designs paper. I added some polka dot ribbon and a polka dot center for the flower.

Have a great weekend!

Five before Friday

It is the night before I leave for the ladies retreat and instead of finishing packing, I spent most of the afternoon and evening making cards. I managed to get caught up on all five of the challenges from this week that I wanted to try.

This one is Start the Day with Whee! I used the sketch from Mojo 128. This is the first time I have inked up this little cuties. She is part of MFT's Pure Innocence collection. The flower paper is from DCWV's Glitter Stack.

Next up is the Verve sketch challenge from this week on SCS. I used Kirsten Fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps. I just love these sweet fairies! The paper is from Basic Grey's Origins.

Third is this week's Wednesday Stamp Club from MFT. I pulled out a summer set called Feelin' Fruity? This is a really cute set, so worth checking out. I used a mix of papers from DCWV's Sweet Stack.

This one is for this week's sketch challenge from SCS. I used Bakery Business from Taylored Expressions, which went perfectly with my Sweet Stack scraps. At least these desserts are fat free!

The last card is from this weeks CPS sketch. I pulled out an oldie from Hanna Stamps. This was the breast cancer set that came out last year. I used CTMH paper and lots of Stickles.

Well, I am out of here. Heading down to the shore with temperatures in the 50's. See ya!

Laundry and Stamping

In three days I am off for a weekend away at a ladies retreat and wouldn't you know it, everyone in my house is sick but me. I am praying no one infects me before the weekend. So while my boys were coughing and playing the Wii, I did a little laundry and stamping.

I got a chance to participate in this months guest designer challenge for My Favorite Things. The challenge for this month was to use paper with words or music notes on it. I found this great paper today at AC Moore along with the paper flowers with music notes. This is about as close as I get to a vintage looking card. The stamp is Miss You Much Jolinne.

This next card uses the sketch from the Tuesday Sketch Challenge blog. I made a Christmas card since Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge for this week was a wild card challenge. I used the Christmas image from A Year of Sweets 3 from Taylored Expressions.

I did manage to get the name tags done today too so it has been a good day. Hopefully everyone will be feeling better around here soon.
