Magnolia Stamp Club

I got my Magnolia Spring Stamp Club the other day and just fell in love with the swing stamp. Some of my best memories from childhood are swinging with my grandma. She hung swings in the doorways of her family room for us to swing on indoors and she also had swings on her front and back porches. We would swing and she would sing to us. Happy Days!

Sweet Sugar Challenge 5

Sweet Sugar Challenge 5 was to make two boy cards. I colored these images weeks ago and then never did anything with them, so today I made them into cards. I used Fishing Luca and Soccer Luca from Sugar Nellie. All of the paper is CTMH. I used Outdoor Thoughts from CTMH as a border around the fishing image.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

I made these as invitations to the boys birthday party on May 24th. It also goes with the Papertake Weekly Challenge which calls for embossing this week. The Riley image opens and it says "It's a birthday BBQ" under the flap. The paper is all CTMH and the Riley image is from Hanna Stamps. Hopefully the weather will be nice for their party and we can actually roast marshmallows over the fire pit.

Ismaki Challenge 17

I made this for the Ismaki Challenge 17. It is the first time I got to play with the new Sugar Nellie stamp Nellie with Horse. The DP is a mixture of CTMH, Carolee Creations, and Flare Designs. I added three Pewter brads and some twine along the one side and twill ribbon. I must say, I love this stamp, maybe because I always wanted a horse and never had one.

Sweet Sugar/Blog Candy Challenge

This week's challenge on the Sweet Sugar Challenge Blog is to make a card using only cardstock. So this is the card I did. I made it using Sweet Leaf, Baby Pink, Blush, Chocolate, and Petal cardstock from CTMH. I embossed the Blush CS using my Cuttlebug. The blog candy challenge on Diva for a Day was to use a tool you had not used in a while to make a card. I got the postage stamp die and embossing folders for my anniversary in December when I got my Cuttlebug and have never used them, so I pulled them out for this card. This way the card kills two challenges with one card. Happy Friday Everyone!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 12

I made this card for Cupcake Challenge 12 on Taylor's blog (www.tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com). I love this cupcake stamp from Stamping Bella. It is called Mommy and Baby Cupcake. I used all cardstock on this card and embossed it on my Cuttlebug. The icing is covered with Cinnamon Stickles.

Sugar Nellie Sketch Challenge Card 3

Well here if the final card for the Sugar Nellie Sketch Challenge. This is a "Z" fold card, which was a bit of a challenge for me. It is decorated on the inside and the outside. Of the paper I received in the kit, I only had a few scrap pieces left over. This was fun though!

Sugar Nellie Sketch Challenge

My Sugar Nellie Card Kit arrived on Saturday and I decided to give the three sketches posted on their blog a try. This is the first one I did with the Penelope stamp. The scan does not do the actual card justice. It is much more vibrant in person.

This is the second sketch. This time I used the Lola with Flower stamp instead.

There is one more sketch left and hopefully I will finish it tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Saturday Afternoon Fun!

The morning started out with baseball. Jaymes' Little League started playing last weekend and now our Saturdays and Wednesday nights will be filled with baseball. My dad took this picture of him hitting the ball. That is one of his favorite parts of the game besides running the bases.

When we got home, I got a chance to play with some of my new Stamping Bella stamps. This one is Twinkle Fairy. The DP is by CTMH called Precious Paisley. She is covered in Stickles and rhinestones.

This one is SuperTyler, also by Stamping Bella. I made this card for a birthday part Jaymes has in a few weeks and when I showed it to him he said, "I don't like it. Can you do a different one. This isn't a real superman. It's just a kid in a costume." The little brat! The DP is from CTMH. I can't remember the name of it though. I found this sketch on SCS and decided to give it a try.

This one is called Cuddly Cat. She is so sweet. The DP is retired Pawsitively Pals from CTMH. I used an old paw print punch that I found in my basement to embellish the bottom.

Ismaki Challenge #15

I finally got a chance to play with the Ismaki Challenge for this week. I was not quite sure what I was going to do until this afternoon when my DH colored in this Riley image. I then found this palm tree punch at Target's Dollar Spot and then rest is history. The DP is retired CTMH B&T paper. The four beach stamps are also retired from CTMH. The Riley stamp is from Hanna Stamps. The quote says, "How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest afterward." How true it is!

Lauren's Mother's Day card

While surfing the web, I came across this amazing Mother's Day card by Lauren. (See it here on her blog: http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/
It is an absolutely awesome card done for her mom for Mother's Day using nine different Bella images. I knew as soon as I saw it that I would have to recreate it in some way. Below is my attempt at recreating it on a smaller scale. This card is 6X6 with six Bella images. I cut the letters for MOM with my Cricut. The sentiment inside says, "For all you are. For all you do. Happy Mother's Day!" Although you cannot tell in the photo, I Stickled the bejeebers out of the Bellas. Please check out Lauren's blog and read the story of her daughter, Alexa. It will bring tears to your eyes for sure.

Hanna Stamps

This is Surfer Riley. He is my first card done with my new stamps from Hanna Stamps. I got three of the Riley stamps and am planning on getting more. The DP is by CTMH and I used the wave my DH designed for a set of cards he did and then paper pieced it behind the Riley image. The sentiment is from an old CTMH stamp set called Splish Splash.

Feelabella

I made this card for my mom who has been feeling under the weather for the past few weeks. Hopefully this will help cheer her up. The DP is by Stacy Claire Boyd. I tried some doodling on the side and wiped the edge of the stamped image with Citrus Leaf ink and a baby wipe. The weather has been so nice lately that I have not played with my stamps very much. I have been spending the days in my garden instead.

CTMH June Stamp of the Month

I decided to try my hand at a card with CTMH's Stamp of the Month for June called With Love. I was prowling the CTMH website and came across a card like this by Laurel Seabrook so I decided to try to recreate it. I used Key Line, Buttercup, Orchid Bouquet and White Daisy CS. The scallops were made with my corner rounder. It is much prettier in person than it came up on the scan. The only thing I think it needs is a little bit of glitter. I LOOOVE glitter!

April Bella Babe

There is my entry for the April Bella Babe challenge on Bellaholicsanonymous. The challenge was to make a card with the colors of yellow, orange, and pink. I found this sketch on the Ismake Challenge blog. The paper flower were made out of the same Cosmo Cricket DP as the background of the card. I cut them using my Cricut. The centers are yellow rhinestone brads and the side has nine white daisy brads from CTMH. Although you cannot really tell from the picture, the flowers on her jammies are are covered with yellow and orange Stickles.

Fairies

I got my first fairy stamp from Stamping Bella. This is Patricia Birthdaycake. I must say, I am loving the fairy stamps. I have two more on order and I can't wait to get them!

New Bellas

This is Yogabella. I got her because I am in desperate need to go back to my yoga class. Maybe she will spur me on to go back. I have been so lazy lately.

This is Lattebella. I used Cup of Friendship from CTMH for the cup and steam. The "What's Brewing" stamp is from AMuse. I got it at A.C. Moore.

BCC 22

I made this card today for the Bella Color Challenge on SCS. It was my first time playing with Jeepy Girl. The color challenge was to use Baby Pink, Goldrush, and Garnet. I embossed the whole thing with the Swirls Cuttlebug folder. She has Stickles on her dew rag and on the parking lights. I used large Sparkles for the headlights.
