Snow Day Stamping

Yesterday morning we woke up to snow when we were supposed to have rain. We ended up with four inches in the morning, which later turned to sleet, then rain, then back to snow. When the snow started again we got another foot of snow. This is the view out my back door from this morning. I just love the snow on the pine trees! Unfortunately it too the six of us twelve man hours to get all of that snow off of our 40'x90' driveway.

Since there was nowhere to go, I spent some time down in my studio and made some cards. First up is the Mojo Monday sketch from this week. I used the sweet little Pure Innocence set called "I Love You With All My Heart." I paired up a bunch of different papers from inside my scrap box. The tan paper and the pink paper in the heart are from Close To My Heart. The background paper is from Basic Grey.

Next up is this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. I loved this sketch so much, I did it twice. The two cards below were both done using this week's sketch. For the first one, I replaced the circle in the center with a heart. I used another Pure Innocence set called Lady Bug. The background paper is from American Crafts and I paired it with some scraps of glitter paper.

This one is also the WSC sketch. I used the new set from My Favorite Things called "I Love Us." The background paper is from MFT's Spring Paper Pack. The circle and the rose are both from MFT's Die-namics dies (Dainty Doilly and Rolled Rose)

The next two cards are baby cards. The first one uses MFT's new newest a la Modes set called "Oh Baby." For the first card, I used this week's sketch challenge on SCS. This month's MFT VIP kit came with the My Mind's Eye paper pack called Tickled Pink. I used that for both of my baby cards.

The second card uses the sentiment from this month's MFT VIP set called "My How You've Grown WTG."

Well, that's all I've got for today. See ya!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 3

I managed to sneak in my entry into last week's Wednesday Stamp Club just under the wire. I ran downstairs this morning and threw this together. I used my new My Mind's Eye paper pack called Tickled Pink along with Little Loveosaurus. I always thought this was just a boy stamp, but I guess depending on how you dress it up it can work either way.

I have some more sketches sitting on my table and hopefully when the grocery shopping is done, I can make some time to stamp later.

Another noreaster is headed our way tomorrow. Although it probably will not shape up to be a snow day for the kids, it may end up as a snow day for me. Yay!

Bellarific Friday 1/14/11

It has been a long time since I have participated in any of the Bellarific Friday challenges, but when I saw that this week was a sketch, I decided to give it a try. I used the stamp called "Mom of the Year." I have had it for quite a while and am just now inking it up. All of the design paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper pack.

Have a happy Friday!

A Sketchy Snow Day

We are having a snow day here today so in order to hide from the boys and the hubby who is "working from home", I escaped to the basement to work on two sketches. The first sketch is this months Sketch For You to Try. You can find all of the details as www.iheart2stamp.com.

For my card, I used Hello Cupcake from MFT's Pure Innocence line along with some Basic Grey paper. I had to stamp my image twice though since it is hard to color with a dancing six year old in your stamp room.

Next up is this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. You can get all of the details HERE.

For my card, I decided to make a Valentine. I used the Pure Innocence set Box of Love. Instead of the circle on the side, I replaced it with a heart. The papers are a bunch of different scraps from my scrap box.

That's it for today! Hope you are keeping warm!

Thank You Day

I read on Facebook today that it is Thank You day so that it the sentiment I went for on this card. I really liked this sketch from Mojo Monday this week and knew that the Layered Label Die-namics was perfect. All of the design paper is from Basic Grey.

It is snowing here today and shaping up to be a snow day tomorrow. My plan is to stay in and work on tomorrow's new Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. See you then!

Wednesday Stamp Club 1

I am so excited that for 2011 Wednesday Stamp Club is turning into Wednesday "Sketch" Club. I just love sketches. This is perfect timing since two of the sketches I love each week are taking an extended vacation. For my card, I used the new Pure Innocence stamp called Carnation. Each month MFT will be releasing a new Pure Innocence set named after a flower. The January stamp set is called Carnation. I just love carnations! They smell so good and last forever. For this card I pulled out some of the new Die-namics dies that were delivered yesterday including Dainty Doily, Dainty Lace Border, Mini Scalloped Border, and Mini Rolled Roses.

Tune in next time for another MFT sketch!

Back from the Holiday Blurr

Well now that the holidays are over, hopefully I will have more time to create again. I did get some time today to finish a project I have had on my work table for quite a while. I bought some small legal pads from Staples a while ago with the idea to create a cover for them. While my nieces were here this week, I started one and today I got to finish it (twice after I dropped an ink pad on the first one).

I used the MFT Pure Innocence set "Making a List" to make a grocery list cover. This month's MFT Guest Designer challenge was to use banners so I used both of the Die-namics banner dies to create my banners.

For the inside, I used the new layered label die from MFT that will be released on Tuesday.

It took forever to get the last picture. My camera kept freaking out trying to focus on the white paper and the flash kept refusing to fire. Don't ya hate that?!

Hopefully I will have more time to stamp once the boys are back in school next week.
Happy New Year!
