Tuesday Morning Sketches 170

Happy Halloween Eve!  Tuesday Morning Sketches has another great sketch to play with today, so stop on over and play along.  Our sponsor today is...

Here is our sketch:

Since I am on a Christmas card kick, I made another one for this week's challenge.  I used the Meljen stamp called (appropriately enough) Candy Canes.  The DP is from My Mind's Eye's paper pack called Holly Jolly.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things-a la mode set called Candy Cane Kisses.  The dots around the image are accented with blue sparkles and the banner die is outlined with a row of rhinestones.

Have a fun day!

Sketch For You To Try-October

Well as I sat here tonight riding out the rest of Hurricane Sandy, it occurred to me that I had forgotten to do this month's Sketch For You To Try.  Since there was no guarantee how long our power would stay on, I set to work just in case I couldn't get it done tomorrow.

For my card, I used the new My Favorite Things set called Have Hope and paired it with the MFT Die-namics die called Support Hope.  All of the design paper is from My Mind's Eye's Lost & Found paper pack in Blush.

Have a great night and stay safe if you are in Sandy's path.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 169

Happy Tuesday!  We have another great sketch to play with over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Our sponsor this week is...

Stamp Fairy gave the DT some fun stamps to play with as well.  Here is the sketch:

For my card, I chose the Stamp Fairy stamp called George Ornaments 2.  I just love snowmen and this one was so cute.  All of the DP is from My Mind's Eye Be Merry paper pack.   The snowman is accented with Stickles and the ornament is painted with Pearlescent Watercolors.

Have a great day!  Be sure to stop by the TMS blog to leave the girls some love.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 168 - Cards for Denise

Hello Everyone!  Happy Tuesday!  Tuesday Morning Sketches has another wonderful sketch for you today and we are sponsored by StampingScrapping.  Here is the sketch:

My card is for my friend, Denise, who is beginning her third battle with cancer.  She had breast cancer ten years ago and beat it, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year and beat it again.  Now she is fighting for her life again as cancer has invaded her bladder and lymph nodes.  She is the strongest woman I know and meets each battle with a positive attitude.  I made this to encourage her to stay strong.  If you would like to join me in supporting Denise's fight by sending a card, please email me at dawnbarghorn@yahoo.com and I will send you my address to mail cards to that will then be delivered to Denise.  Thanks in advance for your help.

I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics set called Girly Graphic Tee and paired it with My Mind's Eye Lost and Found paper.  The swirls are cut from glitter paper using Die-namics dies.

Here is the inside.  I just loved this sentiment.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT to see how they interpreted this sketch.  Have a great day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 167

Since today is Tuesday you know what that means...Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Our sponsor this week is

We also have a bonus challenge this week.  This week's bonus is "The Letter E."  Here is the sketch:

Sassy Studio Designs was kind enough to supply us with our choice of stamp to use on this challenge, so I chose Little Honey Belle.  Belle has to be my favorite princess.  I made my flower layer from several circle die-cuts and "Edged" them with Stickles.  My card has a bit of an "Elegant" theme.  The corners were a bit too plain, so I "Edged" them with corner edges and added some pearls.  I also added an "Extra" layer behind the flower since you know I don't like circle cards.  Can you see my letter E?

Enjoy your day.  Now be sure to check out the rest of the design teams blogs to see how the interpreted the "Letter E."

Celebrating Theresa

Today is cause for celebration!  Theresa from Tuesday Morning Sketches is celebrating two things, her 50th birthday and being 5 year cancer survivor!  Join us in celebrating Theresa.  Go to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and check out the bonus challenge to help us celebrate Theresa.  This challenge will remain open all month so you have plenty of time to play.

For my card, I used the Pure Innocence set by MFT called Cause for Celebration and colored her with Copics.  All of the design paper is from My Mind's Eye's Lost and Found collection called Blush.  I created the flower using the Flower Medley Die-namics dies and layered it on a bling breast cancer ribbon.  The dress was paper pieced and the the ribbon was colored with Copics.

I am entering this card in a couple of challenges.  The first one is the MFT Guest DT challenge for this month, which was a sketch.  The second challenge is the SCS Hope You Can Cling To challenge One.  This challenge was to use the "thing that makes you, You."  For me, I love bling!  I wear it all the time.

Here is a list of all the blogs that are celebrating Theresa too:

Party goers:

That's all for today!  Join us in wishing Theresa a Happy Birthday!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 166

Hello!  Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches.  We have an awesome sponsor this week:

Paper Pretties was generous enough to give the DT their choice of digital images to play with as well, so be on the lookout for some great images on the DT creations this week.  Now, here is the sketch:

For my card, I used the Paper Pretties image called Warm Wishes.  It appears that Jessi and I have the same taste because we both picked the same image to work with.  I just love snowmen and this year I am going to try to get a jump on making Christmas cards since I failed miserably last year.  Luckily I still have all the cards I made last year and never sent to help with this year's list.  All of the DP is from the My Mind's Eye paper pack called Be Merry.  I flipped the sketch upside down and put my pearls at the top so that I could add a banner edge to the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the rest of the TMS Design Team's blogs and see all of the yummy goodness.
