Chicks Rule!

It is another sunny but cold day here. The daffodils are blooming and the lilies and hyacinths are up about four inches. I just love spring! With that in mind, I got a chance to make a couple of cards today. I used some digital stamps from Heather Ellis' Pure Innocence line. Both stamps have little chicks. I used some Cosmo Cricket paper to complete the CPS sketch for this week and added a row of Bella Dots at the bottom. The little chick is covered in yellow Sparkly Fluff.

For my next card I used another Pure Innocence digital stamp. The background paper is Lily Bee's Picket Fence paper pad. I added a row of pearls and some twine as accents, along with a row of mini rolled roses.

That's all for today. Hopefully more tomorrow. It's MFT Wednesday Sketch Club day!

Whirlwind Wind Down

Wow! What a whirlwind of a week we just had. My sister and nieces were here from Wisconsin and we were busy every day this past week. I think I need a vacation from my sister's vacation. It was great seeing the girls again and we were all sad to see them leave. Luckily they will be back in three months for our grandma's 90th birthday party.

Today was the first day I have had a chance to stamp in over a week. It was nice to have the peace and quiet again. I got a chance to complete the Wednesday Stamp Club sketch for this past week. I used the stamp set called "Just Bee Yourself." I paired it was paper from Lily Bee. How appropriate is that?

For my next card, I used this week's Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #135. I am so glad that the TE sketches are back. It was a long three months without them. I used the stamp set called "Downtown Divas." The design paper is called the Cupcake Collection from Creativity by Crystal. Crystal has a great selection of digital design paper on her blog and will be opening a new store very soon.

Well, that's it for now. Looking for warm weather. How about you?

Bellarific Friday

I haven't had a chance to participate in the Bellarific Friday challenge in quite a while, but when I saw this sketch, I just had to play along. I pulled out an old Stamping Bella stamp that I just love called Shoe Bag and some old pink and black paper from Making Memories. Since I mis-measured the height of my panels, I decided to add a row of pearls in between to fill the space.

The flowers at the bottom are layers of the new Build a Flower Die-namic from MFT. I added some larger pearls as the flower centers.

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday Stamp Club 11

It's time for another edition of Wednesday Stamp Club! Today's sketch is really cool too. You can find all of the details in the My Favorite Things forum on Splitcoast Stampers.
Here is my card for this week. I used the Take Time a la mode stamp to make a card for my sister who is traveling from Wisconsin to New Jersey on Friday, so I figured she will definitely need time to relax! I used an assortment of paper from Basic Grey. Since no card would be complete these days without MFT Die-namics, I used Dainty Dots Border, Dizzy Border, and Sweet Stack Labels.

That's all I have for today! Have a good night!

A Day of Sketches

As a mom of boys, I walk a fine line when it comes to cards, especially Easter cards. Boys are not big fans of pink or any other pastel color either. It is truly a shame since I have the most adorable Easter stamps with little girls on them. So what's a mom to do? Improvise!

I used the adorable little girl stamp called Warm Fuzzies from MFT and turned her into a boy. No cute pink bunny suit for this one. I paper pieced a yellow bunny suit, colored over her heart shaped barrette, and gave her longer boy hair. One other thing...NO PINK. The background paper is from Doodlebug Designs and I added a hint of spring with Die-namics Butterfly, Flower Border, and Grass Border. I also used this week's Mojo Monday sketch and substituted the bunny for the circle.

For the next boy card, I used an old Stampin' Up set called Loads of Love and filled the truck bed with Easter eggs. For this, I used paper from Crate Paper. I followed the sketch from this weeks Card Positioning Systems sketch.

Last card of the day was this week's Tuesday Morning sketch. I used the sentiment from the Verve set called Up, Up and Away set along with the Kite Die-namic. The baker's twine that I used is actually from a bakery. I saved it from our trip to Carlo's Bakery (Cake Boss) last summer so it might still have cake on it. Yum!

That's it for now. Stay tuned though, hopefully I will have time to do the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch today.

SFYTT & Mojo

Had a bit of a chance to stamp today, so I played along in this week's Mojo Monday sketch 181. I used MFT's One Sweet Chick along with a bunch of Die-namics. The paper is from MFT's Spring Paper Pack.

Next up is this month's Sketch 4 You To Try challenge. I used MFT's Enjoy Every Moment set and the adorable Die-namics Butterflies. The design paper is from DCWV's Glitter Stack.

Tomorrow is a work day for me and then a birthday party. Enjoy your weekend!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 10

It's another edition of Wednesday Stamp Club and for the first time in weeks, I got my card done on Wednesday! Yay! I used the new Pure Innocence stamp set called Warm Fuzzies paired with some cute bunny paper from Basic Grey. To give the bunny a fuzzy feel, I added Sparkly Fluff to her bunny suit.

My second card is for this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch. I used the Sweet and Sassy stamp set from MFT with the matching Die-namics. The paper is a digital paper from MFT's Take Note set.

Going to try to get this month's Sketch 4 You To Try done tomorrow while working on laundry.

Wednesday Stamp Club 9 Plus 1

Squeeked my entry in under the wire again for the Wednesday Stamp Club. What an amazing and busy weekend it was here. Below is this week's sketch.

For my card, I used Fred Bear from MFT. I made this for my niece's birthday on the 15th. She will be visiting just after her birthday and we are having a Teddy Bear Picnic birthday! The paper is from Creativity by Crystal. It is part of the Vintage Cupcakes digital paper pack. I accented the card with twine from the Twinery in Cappuccino.

The second card was from last week's Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. I did it last week, but ran out of time to post it and now the link is closed. Oh well! I used the Out on a Limb stamp from MFT's Pure Innocence line. I used the tree image alone and added the little bird to the tree branch. The paper is a scrap I had from My Mind's Eye. I added felt leaves and rolled roses to the side, as well as rhinestones around the biggest mat.

More goodies to come soon. Tomorrow the next WSC sketch will be posted. Hopefully I will get it done a little sooner than the last two weeks.
