Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenge-Post 3

Well, this is it. The final post for the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenge. I used my Bathtub Sophie (now available at www.hannastamps.com) to create a gift bag and bath salt jar. I found a great recipe to make your own bath salts and have all the ingredients except the essential oils. I can't seem to find them anywhere around here. Anyone know where I can get them online?

Here is a closer look at the jar. I used my Nestabilities to cut the circle for the lid and then added some Big Pinks flowers by CTMH. They are the perfect size for the top of the lid. Once again Sophie is sitting in her pink bathtub (lucky gal!) and the bubbles are highlighted with Glimmerz Blingz. The ribbon is my favorite ribbon ever. I got it from my mome when she was cleaning out her craft room. It is the most delicious pink with threads of gold on the edges. Luckily she had a huge roll of it and she gave it to me in two sizes. Aren't moms great!

Here is another close-up of the lid. I used some of my Martha Stewart punches for the leaves, as well as a rhinestone brad for the center of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by. Check back next week for the results of the challenge. Thankfully I will be away at the beach all week so I won't have time to stress over it!

Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenge-Post 2

Wow! I can't believe a week has passed already. Where has the summer gone? It is time again for the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenge post. This is the card I made using the unreleased Bathtub Sophie. I have had the paper for quite a while. It reminds me of the wallpaper that would be in an old bathroom. You can see the reverse side at the corner. It is this really pretty toile paper. I wove the organdy ribbon down the sides and the effect is really different. Sophie is sitting in every girlie girl's dream, a pink bathtub. I added some pink Glimmerz to the bubbles, too.

Next week is the final post of the guest designer challenge. Check back to see another project made with Bathtub Sophie. Have a great week!

Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenge-Post 1

Today is the day that I get to post my first entry into the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenge. The stamp that was chosen for these challenges is the yet to be released Bath Sophie. Isn't she cute?! I went with a pretty simple design for my first card. I used Heavenly Blue and White card stock (run through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder) for the base. The card is wrapped with Heavenly Blue Sassy Strands and embellished with clear buttons tied with Heavenly Blue Waxy Flax. It may be hard to see in this picture, but Sophie's bubble bath is painted with pink Glimmerz Blingz.

Check out the Hanna Stamps Forum on Splitcoast Stampers for all of the entries in the Guest Designer Challenge. The girls have pulled out all the stops on this one!

Hanna Stamps August release party is this Monday, August 3 at 9:00pm in the Hanna Stamps Forum on SCS. Stop by for all the fun and to see this month's new releases.

Stop back again soon. My next entry into the Guest Designer Challenge will be posted next Saturday, August 8th.

Almost Forgot This Card

I finally got a chance to participate in the Bellarific Friday challenge this week. It was a sketch challenge and I decided to break in my new Just My Type stamp from Stamping Bella. I just love this stamp. It is so vintage and cute!

OK. This is the last post for today, I promise.

Hanna Stamps July New Set Challenge

This image is from the Cyber Hanna set released by Hanna Stamps last month. It was the set picked for the new set challenge. The challenge required a project with pink, gray, and black. This paper by SEI was as close as I had to those colors. This planner has been sitting on my desk for the last nine months. Since it matched the color theme, I decided to decorate it. It is hard to see in the picture, but there is a little rhinestone frame around the 2009 at the bottom. I just love this set. I created the background behind the image to look like my new stamp room. The walls are pink and the floors are concrete (gray).

Thanks for visiting. I will be back on Saturday with my first post for the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Challenges. You are just going to love this new stamp!

Hanna Stamps Weekly Challenges

I have sadly neglected doing this month's weekly challenges in the Hanna Stamps forum, but I am trying to get caught up. I managed to get all three done that I was missing just in time for the new one to be posted tomorrow. Here they are in random order.

The first card is from Challenge 77. It was a sketch challenge. I used BBQ Riley for this one since I volunteered to make 8 of them as invitations to our family BBQ on Labor Day. My mom-in-law wanted this stamp for the invitations and I have to agree that he is just perfect.

This one is Challenge 79. The theme was to make a circle card. I just loved this stamp sent (Pool Party) when it came out. It has lots of circle images that worked perfectly with these shape card.
The little splashes are sticker from my pile of stickers.

The last is a project instead of a card. Challenge 78 was to make a 3D item. I bought my new 2010 calendar last week and decided to alter it. I used the new Cyber Riley. He is just so cute sitting there on his laptop. The beautiful background paper is by Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping by. I will have more to post soon.

2 Hanna Stamps Challenges

I am still playing catch up on my Hanna Stamps challenges, but these are the last two. The first card is from challenge 72. It was a pink/burgundy challenge with a twist of polka dots or circles. I used Wedding Riley on a background of Basic Grey paper. The design of this card is from the Viva La Verve challenge on the Verve forum of SCS. I used Glimmerz Blingz in Pixie Dust on the dress and veil, as well as Stardust Stickles on the crown of her veil.

The second card is for Hanna Stamps challenge 76. The theme of this challenge was Christmas in July. I used Tree Riley for this card on a background of K&Co. paper. This card also uses the Mojo 93 sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog.

Well I am off to put my boys to bed. Have a safe and happy 4th of July tomorrow!

Two Hanna Stamps Cards

I am working on catching up on this month's Hanna Stamps Challenges. The card below is done for the Hanna Stamps June New Set Challenge. The challenge was to use the new Glam Girls set to make a card, but you had to use at least two of the girl stamps as well. I found the DP stuffed in my paper folder and liked the colors. I added Black Stickles to both dresses and then added some Pixie Dust Shimmerz to the blue dress. Very sparkly. The flowers are also sparkly since I used the shimmer flowers from MFT and long with black satin ribbon.

Now the second card is a bit more fun. I used Liberty Riley for Hanna Stamps Challenge 74. The theme of this challenge was Stars & Stripes. Of course, I didn't have any stars and stripes paper so I just put it aside and went to play online. As I was browsing the forums on SCS I saw mention of new digital paper downloads on the Gina K site so I went to check them out. Sure enough, there was on called Stars & Stripes. Yea! I loved how it turned out. Now I just have to figure out what to do with it. Maybe give it to my mom on July 4th when we are there for a cookout?

TECC73

Since Taylored Expressions is taking a bit of a vacation during their move, I decided to try to catch up on the challenges I missed. Here is cupcake challenge 73. I used the beach bag from TE's Beach Bum set. I found these little fish brads collecting dust in the cabinet and put them to use finally. The paper is a free download this month from Gina K. The name of the paper is so me...Jersey Shore!

Catch Some Rays

This month's VIP Package from My Favorite Things featured the new Who's That Girl set called Catch Some Rays. I just love this set! I just wish that could be me, sitting poolside or better yet on the beach. I used the sketch from the MFT Sketch Challenge 87 on SCS. I will be playing with this set again soon.

You can view more samples of this set in the MFT forum beginning on Monday, June 29th. The set will be released on Wednesday, July 1st during the release party on SCS. Come join the fun!

Hanna Stamps Challenges

I have been neglecting so many projects this spring, but I got a chance to do this week's challenge in the Hanna Stamps forum on SCS.

This week was a sketch challenge (my favorite) so I broke out an old set called SPF50. I did this card on thursday when I was supposed to have gone to the beach for the day, but my plans fell through and so I took out my sorrow in my stamp room. I just wish I looked this good in a bathing suit.

Bella Birthday Challenges

In honor of Emily's 37th birthday, there was a bit of a party on Splitcoast on Thursday night. During the party, two challenges were posted. Since I had so much fun on the blog hop and my Bellas have been sorely neglected as of late, I decided to give both of them a try.

For my first card, I used my unused Peek-a-boo-abella. I have had this stamp since the last release in May and have not used it. Shame on me! I used some old DP from Close to my Heart.

For the second card, I used another neglected stamp from last month's release called Lady Owlie with her Sign. This stamp has been on my table for weeks and I never got around to using it. I am so glad I did. She is so sweet.

Stay tuned. I have more to post including a sneek peek from My Favorite Things upcoming release.

Bella Birffday Blog Skip, Hop, and Dance

Welcome to the Birthday Blog Skip, Hop & Dance sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella.

OK. So I am sitting at my computer playing around last night when it suddenly occurs to me that I have neglected to make anything for the Bella Blog Hop. Duh! So off to the dining room I go at 10:30pm and set to work. Of course since it is a birthday party, I pulled out my Sweet Stack by DCWV. What goes better with cakes and cupcakes than Cupcakeabella. She has been my favorite Bella for a while, but I have only had her a short time. Now I know Da Bella loves the bling so I had to give her some glam. I used rhinestones as the center for the flower and along the sentiment. As I was searching through my Bella Baubles, I noticed that I had no red for the cherry so instead I used the Hot Lips Baubles and colored the cherry red behind it. Next there are Cotton Candy Stickles all over the icing. Yum!

Now how about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, Da Bella have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blog will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $40 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...no one knows who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! The winner will be announced on Monday in the Splitcoast Forum. MWAH!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Lisa's Blog. Have a great day and Happy Birffday Em!

Hanna Stamps DT Call

Hanna Stamps has put out a design team call in the Hanna Stamps Forum on SCS. I made this card for that call. I used one of my favorite Hanna Stamps sets called Get Well Hanna. I just love all the swirls on the bedposts. My other favorite Hanna is Cafe Hanna. Maybe I will have to make a card with her soon...

My Favorite Challenge 3

One last card for today. I made this for my neighbor who is about to have a baby any day, if she hasn't already. I used the MFT stamp set called Snuggle Bunnies. This card was also made for the My Favorite Challenge 3, which was to make a gate-fold card.

More tomorrow...

Getting Caught Up

Since I am pretty well caught up on my paperwork, I got a chance to catch up on some cards this week. I made three yesterday and then today I deleted them from my camera and my hard drive before I remembered about putting them on here. Oh well, they were Father's Day cards anyway and this way they won't be seen before the big day.

I made the above card using the MFT Sketch Challenge 85 from last week. I have had this stamp on my table for weeks and have not had any mojo to do anything with it. I just love these cute little owls!

This next card is made with four different Huggabug stamps from Stamping Bella. I used Buzzy, Lovey, Head Over Heels, and Miles Huggabug. This is the sketch for this weeks Bellarific Friday. When I saw the four squares on the sketch, I new I had to dig out my little bugs.

Have a great day! Talk to you again soon.

Playing with Bellas

I got a chance to play with some of my Stamping Bella stamps this week. The card above was for Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday challenge. I used Branching Out Owlies (one of my favorites) to make a get well card.

This card uses Soccermomabella. It was part of the Show and Tell Challenge on SCS in the Stamping Bella forum. The challenge was to make a card using a Stamping Bella stamp the best describes you. I have been shuttling boys to baseball for the past several months and soccer will be starting soon so this was a no brainer. Unfortunately there is not a baseballmomabella because that is so me right now, but the end is in sight!

M.I.A.

I can't believe it has been 6 weeks since I posted anything here. Things have been crazy first with the play and now with baseball and softball. The card below is the only card I have made in weeks. I entered it into the Hanna Stamps May New Set Challenge and won two stamps sets from Hanna Stamps. I am so excited!

The card uses retired paper from CTMH. The stamp set is Pool Party from Hanna Stamps. It is embellished with glitter paper from Target and summer brads by Making Memories. Hopefully it will not be another six weeks before I get back into making cards.

It's Been Awhile

Although I have been busily making cards the last few weeks, I have neglected to post them here. I know, shame on me! Things have been crazy here as my family and I are getting ready for the play at our church at the end of the month. We have had practices every night until 10pm, plus both of the boys have started practice for baseball. I feel like I am living out of the car right now. Below are a couple of cards I did over the weekend.

This above card is the Viva La Verve sketch for this week. I used two of the stamps from Taylored Expression's new Downtown Divas set. I just love the cuppies!

Next up is the MFT Sketch Challenge from last week. I used the Cuddle Up Carter set. The proceeds from the sale of this set go to charity so check it out on the MFT site. As a mom to boys, this set was a must.

This lovely flower card is for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge. The colors are the same as my sister's wedding back in 1990, so I will have to make it into an anniversary card for her. Good thing she is barely ever on the computer so she will probably never read this post.

The last card is another cuppie. This is from the Sweet Celebrations set from Taylored Expressions. The sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Have a good week everyone! Enjoy your Spring Break! Mine is officially over today since my son returns to school tomorrow. Where did the time go? Oh yeah...play practice.

Playing Catch Up

After spending the weekend away last weekend, this weekend was my catch up weekend. I am still doing laundry. Yuck! I was able to get caught up on some of the sketches I missed while I was away. The card below was one of the Verve Sketch challenges. I used the new set Everlasting Life that was part of the March release. This is really a beautiful set.

This next card was the MFT Sketch for last week. I used pink and black for Celebrate MFT Day which is the 20th of each month. This card makes me wish for Spring. I just love having geraniums in my garden!

This next one is the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast from last week. I made it with the Welcome Home set from Lizzie Anne Designs. The card is for my parents who just moved into their new house last weekend.

Don't you just love Monsters, Inc. My boys love that movie. This little monster is from MFT's March release and it is called appropriately, Monsters Inc. They had two really cute monster sets this month. One was cutesy and one was funky, but I love them both.

This is the Mojo Monday sketch from today. I actually got it done on the day it was posted. I used another stamp from the Miss Anya set from The Greeting Farm. I finally cleaned up all the cards I made and separated them into groups. I have a whole box each of birthday and blank cards, but I needed more thank yous and holiday cards.

It was a slow day here today so I got the chance to make two cards this morning. This one is also an MFT stamp called Happy Mother's Day. I bought this set last May and this is the first time I have used it since there were obviously no reason to make a Mother's Day card for the past 10 months.

Thanks for stopping my. I will try to remember to post some more stuff on here before the end of the week. I have a feeling I am going to get really behind on making cards since my family and I will be involved in the spring play at church. We are doing "The Walls of Jericho." It should be fun, but a lot of work too.

Anya Cards

This card is the sketch from Taylored Expressions. I used Rockstar Anya and glittered her up. The music notes are from the Rockstar Hanna set. I used the letter "U" from a Stampin' Up alphabet set that I have had forever and the "rock" from a Stamping Bella sentiment.

This is another one of the stamps from the Miss Anya Collection. This one is in anticipation of my girls only weekend coming up. Our church is hosting a ladies retreat in Lancaster, PA. We are staying at a resort and will have Friday and Saturday afternoons to shop the outlets. Bring on the sales!!

Hunny Bunny

I just love getting free stamps! I won this set from All That Scraps during the release of their March stamp sets. This little guy is from their Hunny Bunny set. It was the one set from their release that I wanted the most so I was especially excited when that is the one that I won! Couldn't you just cuddle this little cutie! I used the sketch from Mojo 77 to make this card.

Paper Makeup Stamps

I got my first order of stamps from Paper Makeup Stamps. This little fairy is called Elle. Isn't she sweet! The PMS Blog posted an embellishment challenge this week and this is my card. I am one of those strange people who does not like to do challenges on company blogs with stamps from other companies so I had to wait until my stamps came in to participate. I'm just weird that way, plus I buy more stamps.

Bellarific Friday-Part 3

This week's Bellarific Friday is a color challenge from products in the Stamping Bella store. I used my cute little Queen Bee stamp for the card. I doodled around the cardstock to make it interesting. The added challenge this week was to use at least one button. Check out Bloggabella on Friday to see all of the cards sent in.

Verve Release Day!

Today is release day for Verve Stamps. Verve is offering several ways to win the new stamps being released tonight by posting comments on the Verve Blog and also by completing challenges on the Verve Blog and the Mojo Monday Blog. The card above is my card for the sketch challenge on the Verve Blog. Verve is releasing 8 new sets tonight! I can't wait to see them all at once!

MFT Guest Designer 14

My Favorite Things hosts a guest designer challenge every month after their release party. This month I decided to enter. I made a diary out of a notebook. This month's challenge was to use buttons. I have had these clear buttons for months and finally decided to use them. The design paper is retired B&T paper from Close to my Heart. I love the soft paisley print, but it was a pain to try and photograph. The stamp I used was Bling Bet from MFT. I used Stickles glitter on the dots because I did not have enough rhinestones to fill in all of the letters.

Close up of the cover.

Thanks for stopping by!
