MFT Guest DT Challenge November 2011

It has been quite a while since I was able to participate in the MFT Guest Designer challenge, but I made time to play along this month. I was looking through my stamps and the cute little bee from the Pure Innocence-Honey Bee set caught my eye. This month's challenge was to "Bling It On." My bling on this card is a bit a-typical. I used black glitter swirls and flowers along with some rhinestone swirls.

It was fun to play with this set again, it has been awhile. I paired her with some paper from Lily Bee (no pun intended) and made some flowers with the scraps using the Die-namics Prima Donna Petals.

That all for now!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 117

It's Tuesday! Hooray! We have another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! For our sponsor this week, we welcome back Tiffany Doodles.

I loved this sketch, and made my card relatively simple. It is pink, of course, for breast cancer awareness month. This week I used another breast cancer stamp from MFT called Fight Like a Girl. I layered her with lots of My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose paper. At the ends of the sentiment I added a pink ribbon from the new Who's that Girl? stamp set I used last week.

Have a great Tuesday! Be sure to play along with us this week too!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 116

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week we have two sponsors! Our sponsors for this week are Print Candee and DRS Designs. Since we have two sponsors, that means more prizes! Our sketch for this week is designed by Theresa.

For my card, I continued to the theme for this month of using pink for breast cancer awareness and paired it with the new Who's that Girl stamp from MFT. Instead of a diamond shaped center, I went for a circle and used the Die-namics Decorative Doily. You know how much I love Die-namics dies. I never by flowers anymore when I can make them instead. I used a new Rolled Mum die for the flower and added a swirl behind it.

That's my card for this week. Be sure to check up on the DT girls and, of course, play along!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 41

Wow! It seems like forever since I had the chance to participate in Wednesday Stamp Club. This week, I made time to do it since, unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card.

For my card, I used some My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose paper for the background and accents. The image is matted on the Die-namics die called Layered Label. The flowers and swirl are also Die-namics dies from MFT. The sentiment for the card, as well as the one inside, are from the MFT set called Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy.

That's it for today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 115

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches! This week our sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs. We have another fun sketch for you designed by Melissa. Since it is a contest week, we also have an added twist!

This week's twist is an inspiration challenge. As soon as I saw this bag, I thought the pattern looked familiar. It turns out I had paper in my stash that is a pretty close match to this bag (see below).
Here is my card. The paper is Basic Grey. Since there is an added challenge to use pink this month for Breast Cancer Awareness month, I used the image "Cureabella" from Stamping Bella. The flowers were all made using scraps from my bin and the Die-namics die called Prima Donna Petals.

Now, go get creative!

TMS 114

It's Tuesday Morning Sketch time! This week's sketch is sponsored by One Stop Cards. I love the concept of this sketch, but my execution was a bit of a challenge. I didn't know what to use to make a larger circle card so I used my Nestabilities to make a smaller circle and then layered it on a square card.

I made this card for my sister, Holly. Her birthday was September 14th so I am a bit late. Going back to work after being a stay at home mom for 9 years is a bit of an adjustment. My house is a mess. I haven't cooked very much for the last two weeks. And my craft room has been sorely neglected. I have at least managed to keep the kids in clean clothes. Having kids playing hockey and baseball have kept our nights and weekends pretty busy too.

Enough of the mundane details. Here is my card for this week. I used My Minds Eye Stella Rose paper for the background then layered this week's sketch on top. For the center of the card, I used the MFT Die-namic and stamp set called First Class Friend cut from black and cream cardstock. The flowers were made from the MFT Die-namic die called Pretty Posies.

Well that's it for me today. Be sure to check out the rest of the TMS DT girls to see what they have been up to this week.
