New Year's Eve Birthday

Happy New Year! Tonight we are going to a friend's house to celebrate two New Year's Eve birthdays. Our friend, Mike, turns 40 and our other friend's daughter turns 3. I made this card for Samantha's 3rd birthday. The image is from My Favorite Things and it is called "It's a Cupcake Kind of Day."

BSC61

I finally got a chance to do a Bella Sketch Challenge on the day it was posted. I used my new Francine Flapper image with some paper I found in my scrap box. I used my new Nestabilities Curvy Rectangles. I am so loving my new Nesties!

Mojo 66 and 67

I am a bit behind on my Mojo Monday Challenges, but I was able to get a couple of them done today. The first one uses Sunflower Bittybloom by Stamping Bella. I used my new Nestabilities that I got as a Christmas gift from my hubby.

The second card uses Sofa Riley. I turned this sketch on its side to accommodate the image. The candy box image is from the Hanna Sweet Celebrations set. I used this set to combine this challenge with HSC49.

I am trying to adjust to my new camera too. Hopefully the pictures will get better as I learn how to use it. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Cards

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post. Things have been busy around here preparing for the holidays. I had some time today to make a couple of Christmas cards. The first one is is the Little Drummer Boy. I used the sketch from SCS's SC207. The stamp is from High Hopes.

The last one is a Nativity stamp also from High Hopes. I have already sent out most of my Christmas cards, but I got this stamp a few weeks ago and didn't have a chance to use it until now. Hopefully it will not be a month before I can post again.

Ismaki 40

I used the Ismaki challenge sketch for this card. The stamp is from Sugar Nellie called Rory. He is just the cutest little lion. This is from their new line of stamps called Home Grown.

Papertake Challenges/CC193

I combined the last two Papertake Weekly challenges to make this card. Last week's challenge was a sketch challenge and this week's was called "snow." I used the snowman from Sugar Nellie as my main image. The colors were from the color challenge on SCS. I used my new snowflake punch to make the snowflakes for the corners. They are punched from this really cool (no pun intended) glitter paper I found at Target. They are very sparkly in real life.

High Hopes Challenge 8/Mojo 61

The High Hopes challenge for this week is Brads and Buttons. I used button brads and clear buttons to make this baby card. I used the sketch from Mojo 61. This baby dragon stamp is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I just love these little guys and cannot wait to get some more. Hopefully soon!

Bellarific Friday

Today I dusted off some old Bellas and got to work. I used the sketch from Bellaholics Anonymous for this card along with the colors from the Bella Color Challenge on SCS. I have had this Knitabella image forever and never used it. It was a dreary rainy day in NJ today and I would have loved nothing more than to cover up under an nice knitted blanket and watch old movies all day, but no such luck.

This next card is Tinkerbella. I decided to use this stamp for the Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge because it reminded me of our trip to Disney. I got a shirt from Disney World that has all of the characters and princesses on it and my youngest son, Dylan, loved looking at Tink.

High Hopes Challenges 5 & 7

I have been wanting to do the challenges on the High Hopes blog for quite a while now, but I only had a small amount of stamped images to use while I was waiting for my stamps to arrive. I got my first order of stamps yesterday and wasted no time in inking them up. I used the sketch from HHC5 to make the card. It also fits for HHC7 since the theme of that challenge was Sparklemania. I used Stickles on his wings and spots, as well as rhinestones for the flower centers. This stamp is Gavin the Giving Dragon. I just love all of the new dragon stamps from High Hope and cannot wait to get more!

Back from Disney World

We got back from Disney on Saturday night and it was a great week away. Above is a picture of the boys with Mickey. Jaymes asked me last night if we could go back to Disney World this weekend. Wishful thinking!

Below are some of the card I did yesterday. I am trying to catch up on all of the challenges I missed while I was away. I hope to be caught up by the end of the week.

Above: Scarf and Mittens from Ski Hanna set by Hanna Stamps.

Above: Bikahbabeabella from Stamping Bella.

Above: Daisybella from Stamping Bella.

Above: Cake Tilda from Magnolia Stamps.

Papertake Challenge

Here is my card for Papertake's sketch challenge this week. I just love this stamp set from Stampin' Up. It is so sweet!

Ismaki 37

I made this card for the Ismaki Challenge 37. I made the card on Monday, but my computer crashed and I did not get a chance to upload it until today. I used "Snow Cozy" from Sugar Nellie. I just can't get enough of snowmen!

Stooby Toosday/SC199

I have been trying to upload this to my SCS gallery for a while, but it keeps coming up all fuzzy. This card uses the SCS sketch challenge 199. The challenge for Stooby Toosday was to make a water theme card so here is Betty Bombshell.

Friday Sketchers/Spoonful of Sugar

I modified the sketch from Friday Sketchers to make this birthday card for my neighbor's son. His Halloween theme birthday party is on Sunday. I used the Guitar Boy stamp from Sugar Nellie to make my monster card. The inside says, "Have a monster rockin' birthday! I just love the fizzy spiders on the top corner! They even have scary red eyes.

Papertake 33

This week's Papertake Weekly Challenge was called "Frightful, but Delightful." I used my Halloween Sugar Nellie stamps to make treat bags for my neighbors and nephews. I have a couple more to do still. I used treat bags from Target and then added the tags. The edges of the tags are distressed with ink. The best part of all is that the bags are filled with CANDY!!

Holiday Card Crazy

I have been on a bit of a holiday card kick lately. I decided to just make random holiday cards instead of doing a million of the same card.

This card uses Daisyboardabella by Stamping Bella.

This card uses the Elzybells stamp called Boy & Snowman.

This card uses the stamp set "All Decked Out" by CTMH.

This card uses the Santa with Lantern by Sugar Nellie.

I am sure there will be more cards to come as I have not used all of my Christmas stamps yet.

Ismaki 36/Elzybells Challenge 5

This card combines the Ismaki Sketch Challenge 36 and the Elzybells Challenge 5. The Elzybells challenge was to use black and white with a pop of color. I figured what was more black and white than penguins. I used small pops of color on the image, as well as three paper flowers on the side.

Papertake 32

I used Sugar Nellie's Snowmen Choir for this card. The sketch was on the Papertake Weekly blog. All of the paper, ribbon, and brads are from CTMH. The background is embossed with my Cuttlebug snowflake folder. I just love snowmen!

Elzybells Challenge 4

This card was done for the Elzybells Challenge 4. The challenge was to use "inchies" or small squares. I used squares to build a snow fort. I added snow the the image with Flowersoft.

Ismaki 35

Here is my card for Ismaki 35. I used the Be Calm stamp from My Favorite Things. The secondary part of the sketch challenge was to use lace. I didn't have any lace, so I used organdy ribbon instead.

High Hopes Challenge 3

By the time I got to post my card for the High Hopes challenge 2, the third one was already out. This is the card I made without the correct colors for last week's color challenge, so I added some faux stitching and it now works for this week's challenge. The image is Candi Tooth Fairy, but I thought she looked like a Christmas angel.

High Hopes Challenge 2

I ordered my first High Hopes stamps this week, but they will not be here for a little bit so I played with some images I got in an exchange. This challenge was to use green, blue, brown and any neutral. Silly me, forgot what I was doing and did another card that had none of these colors, so I had to go back to the drawing board to create one that actually went with the challenge. Duh!

Bellaholics Friday Sketch Challenge

The Yahoo! group Bellaholics Anonymous has started doing Friday Challenges. The challenge for this week was a sketch challenge. I used Merrybella to create a holiday card. I sponged cranberry ink on a white paper flower to five it some color and used a pearl bella bauble for the center. I so love this paper!

A Weeks Worth of Cards

I got a bit of time to play this week and made a bunch of cards. The card below is a sympathy card for a family I am in choir with who lost their husband/father. I used a stamp set and paper from CTMH and a few pearl Bella Baubles as an accent.

This card was for the Bella color challenge on SCS. The colors are Orchid Boucquet, Autumn Terracotta, and Goldrush.

This card is with a new set from MFT. It is called a Scarf For Three. This card uses the CTMH paper Evensong. I totally love this paper. It is really beautiful in real life.

This is another new stamp set from MFT called Christmas Owls. They are so adorable! Again I used the new paper from CTMH called Evensong.

This card was also for a Bella Color Challenge on SCS. I used Golfafella for this card. It is for my DH's 40th birthday this coming Thursday!

I have been patiently awaiting my new stamps from Hanna Stamps that I won during the October Release Party. I was going to wait until they came to finish this "Pretty in Pink" challenge, but I got tired of waiting. It is Saturday and they still have not arrived. I am so bummed!

Well this is the end of my week of cards. I have a few more cards in the works that I have not had a chance to finish. I spent the afternoon outside instead. It was a beautiful day here today. Hopefully I will be able to finish them tomorrow or Monday. Have a great weekend!

High Hopes

I have loved High Hopes stamps for quite a while, but do not own any yet. This image was sent to me in an image swap. Her name is Little Missy and I made this for the first challenge on the High Hopes Blog. The challenge was to make a birthday card. Since I don't own any High Hopes stamps yet, I had to work with what I had. I think she is quite adorable!

Thanks for stopping by!

Two Cards On Sketch

I spent some time blog hopping last night and came across the Elzybell's Blog. The cards below use the Elzybell's Challenge 3# layout. I only have a few Elzybells stamps right now and cannot wait to get some more. They are just so cute!

I used the Elzybell's sketch again to create this card for the Hanna Stamps Anniversary Challenges. The three challenges were to 1) use something in your house for inspiration, 2) use two embellishments, and 3) use embossing. This card covers all three challenges in one card.

New Bellas and an Elzybells

I used the BSC48 to make the Halobella card today. She is just so sweet!

This card uses Merrybella. I have really been in a Christmas card frame of mind lately.

This little fella is from Elzybells. It came out in the spring. I have only ever colored this little chick yellow for spring until I saw someone make a card with it for Thanksgiving. Duh! Why didn't I think of that. He doesn't have to be just a little Easter duck. I did the shading around him with Prismacolor pencils and Sansodor.

Ismaki 33

I have been fascinated with the new stamps from Elzybells lately and decided to pull out the ones I bought in the Spring. This flower girl stamp is so sweet. The sketch for this card came from the Ismaki Challenge blog.

Papertake 31

I was browsing blogs today in search of new sketches and this one from Papertake Weekly caught my eye. I decided to use the apple basket from my new Fall Hanna set. The paisley paper is actually brown, but does not show up too well in the scan.

A Triple Card Day

It was a dismal misty day here today so I spent some time this afternoon playing with my stamps. I got three different challenge cards done and on challenge 3D item that I will take pictures of tomorrow.

The card above uses the MFT stamp set "Merry Christmas." I am sure this will be me come the middle of December. The sentiment days "Hope you have a stress-free holiday."

The card below uses the MFT stamp set "Baby It's Cold Outside." I am so in love with snowmen that this set was a must. If I could get away with it, I would leave snowmen up all year long. They make me so happy!

This last card uses the Stamping Bella image Polly Packages. The colors are Cranberry, Ocean, Key Lime, and Blush. Another great color challenge Sparkle. Can you believe I picked a holiday image for that color combo?

Hopefully I will get a good picture of my 3D project and be able to post it tomorrow. Have a great Friday night!
