Tuesday Morning Sketches 152

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This week we have a fabulous sketch by Melissa, as well as a great sponsor called The Paper Garden.  Here is the sketch:

For my card, I used the Paper Garden digi set called Tea Time.  All of the DP is from the MME-Follow Your Heart paper pack called Be Happy.  I tried a new technique I saw online the other day for the flower.  I created the flower from used dryer sheets.  First I cut them out using the Die-namics Pretty Posies die.  Then I added color to them using a sponge and an ink pad.  I added copper Stickles to the ends and let it dry.  They flowers are then stacked and secured with a brad.  It really has a soft, glittery look to it.

Have a great week!  Be sure to check out the goodies posted by the rest of the DT girls and be sure to play along.

MFT Guest DT and Finally Caught Up

It is time again for the MFT Guest Designer challenge.  This month the challenge was a sketch.  Love them!  For mine, I used the MFT-VIP set for this month called Surfer Dude.  I sorted through all of my scraps to put this card together.  Most of the DP is from My Mind's Eye.  In the sketch there was a banner in the upper right corner, I replaced it with the clouds and sun.  I added the swirls to the side because if you have ever spent a windy day at the beach, you know about how much sand blows around and how much you take home with you.

My next card is the last card to complete all of the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketches this year...so far.  This is sketch 68.  I chose to use another MFT-VIP set called Surfer Chick.  The DP is MME-Lime Twist.  The flower was made with the Hibiscus Die-namics die and some scraps from my bin.  I made this for my friend, Sandy, whose birthday is coming up.  She loves to boogie board.

Now that I am caught up with the MFT sketches, I need to get busy working on next month's Tuesday Morning Sketches cards.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

MFTWSC 63, 76 and 77

Three more down and only one to go.  It seems like I make two steps forward and one step back with these sketches.  Hopefully I will be able to get that last one done on Friday since I have to work tomorrow.

My first card is #63.  I used the PI set called Sprinkler Girl.  All of the DP is from MME-Ooh La La for Her paper pack.  The flower and leaves were from my stash since I was in a rush to get this done and did not have time make one.

The next card is from sketch 76.  I used the PI stamp set called Cute-a-tude.  All of the DP is MME-Fine and Dandy paper back called Tickled Pink.

Last up is sketch 77.  This is the sketch for this week.  I used the PI set called Hula Girl.  I chose the Lily Bee-Happily Lost paper pack for this and even managed to make a flower using the Die-namic Hibiscus die.

Enjoy the heat and stay cool!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 151

Hello!  Happy Tuesday!  Welcome to another challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Our sponsor today is The Beary Scrap.  Here is this week's sketch:

For my card, I used the Taylored Expressions set called Moka Justin.  I paired him with My Mind's Eye paper called Boys Only.  As I was cutting the paper for this, I realized I cut the paper at the wrong angle.  So my card ended up as a mirror image of the sketch.  I added the numbers 17 from the MFT Die-namics set called By the Numbers.

Be sure to stop by the TMS Blog and leave some love.  Be sure to play along for a chance to win some goodies from The Beary Scrap.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 65 & 73

Two more sketches down and two more to go.  Then I will be all caught up.  Today I have sketches 65 and 73 done.  For sketch 65 I used the new Masculine Graphic Tee Die-namic and stamp set.  I loved this quote and thought it would be perfect for a Star Wars birthday party my boys have on Saturday.  All of the DP is from MME-Meadowlark paper pack.  The letter were cut with the By the Letters Uppercase Die-namics.

My next card is a Father's Day card.  I used the Vanity License Plate Die-namics and stamp set.  Love all the possibilities with this set.  All of the DP is MME.  I used some Star Die-namics in place of the flowers on the sketch.

Hopefully I will have the last two to show you soon.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 72 and 74

I told you I was working on back sketches!  Here are two more.  Unfortunately I still have a ton left to do.  Good thing I need Father's Day, Birthday, and Teacher cards this month.

My first card is sketch 72.  I used the PI set called Super Boy.  He is color more like Batman than Superman because I wanted something different.  The DP is all from MME-Lime Twist paper pack called Out of the Blue.  I used the Cityscape Die-namics die for the bottom of the card.

My next card uses the same Out of the Blue paper pack.  I used the Masculine Graphic Tee stamp set and Die-namics die for the main image.  This is for my son's teacher.  He was wonderful this year and Jaymes loved him.

Off to work on more sketches.  Have a happy day!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 150

Hello TMS Fans!  Today we have another great sketch to share and a fun sponsor too! This week is also a bonus challenge week.  Our bonus challenge this week is to use Kraft, Black, and one other color.   Here is the sketch:

Our sponsor this week is Designed2Delight.  When I checked out their website, I saw several stamps that had to be mine.  I used the Lil Owl stamp for my card.  When I saw the color challenge, I knew I had to use the My Mind's Eye-Kraft FunDay paper pack.  For the sentiment, I used the My Favorite Things set called By the Numbers.  This card was for my son, Dylan, who turned 8 on June 1st.

Stop by the TMS blog and check out all the goodies and be sure to leave the girls some love.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 62, 64, and 71

Happy Saturday!  I am trying to catch up on all of the Wednesday Stamp Club sketches that I have missed over the last couple of months.  Between yesterday and today, I got three more done.  Good thing I need a bunch of cards over the next few weeks between birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and Father's Day.

My first card is from MFTWSC sketch 62.  I used the MFT By the Numbers stamp and Die-namics set.  All of the DP is from the Crate Paper School Spirit paper pack.

The next card is from sketch 64.  I used My Mind's Eye-Love Me paper pack and the MFT Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries set.  This sentiment is perfect for my in-laws!

My last card is a Father's Day card for my FIL.  He is truly Mr. Fix-It.  He does a lot around our house.
All of the DP is from the Lily Bee-Buttercup paper pack.  The stamp set is the Fred Bear-Fix It set.  I used the Tool Die-namics at the corner instead of a flower.

That's all for today.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

SFYTT meets MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Since Tuesday was election day in NJ, I got to  have the day off so I spent the day stamping for a bit between load of laundry and getting my nails done.  I got the chance to complete this month's Sketch for You to Try, as well as this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club.

For the SFYTT card, I used the new Baseball Boy from Pure Innocence.  Of course, I had to make him a Phillie.  The DP is the last of some paper I got years ago for one of my boys birthday invitations.  I might have to look for some more since they both love baseball.  The stars are all cut from the Die-namics Stars die.

This weeks MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch is really cool.  It gave me a chance to use my new Girl Graphic Tee Die-namic and stamp set.  My son, Dylan's, teacher was teacher of the year this year so I made this as a thank you to her for another great year.  The DP is all from the MME-Lost & Found paper packed called Blush.  The flower was cut from the same paper, but then I added layers of used fabric softener sheets cut with the same die between the DP layers.  It gives it a soft, textural look.

That's it for today.  Now that I have all my stamping done for Tuesday Morning Sketches for the month, I am going to try to catch up on all of the Wednesday Stamp Club sketches I missed so far this year.  Wish me luck!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 149

It is the first Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge of June!  That means summer is almost here.  Yay!  Our sponsor today is a returning sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.  Here is the sketch:

My card uses the Bugaboo freebie from a couple of weeks ago called Crab Boat.  Notice a theme, last week had a crab too.  I used a sentiment from Taylor Expressions to go with this little cutie and cut it with a Die-namics label die.  I then added some jute and a button to the side to give it a nautical flare.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have blue skies where you are.  Be sure to check out the TMS blog and be sure to play along with us for a chance to win some great images from Bugaboo.

MFT Guest DT Challenge-Part 2

This month's MFT Guest Designer Challenge was such a cool sketch, I decided to do it again!

My son's birthday was last week and the gift bag we used at a really cool plastic tag on it.  The more I thought about it the more I wanted to use it for something.  So my second card for this challenge is going green and uses some recycled plastic.  I trimmed the tag down to it a square.  Since it was clear plastic, I decided to mount it to the striped background paper and matted it with cardstock.  The sentiment is from the a la mode set called "You Are Unrepeatable."  It was stamped on the Large Ticket Die-namic.  All of the DP is from the My Mind's Eye pack called Boys Only.  I used the Star Die-namic die for the star and layered the three different sizes together.  It needed a bit more so I added the Die-namic swirl behind the star.

The iside uses a scrap of paper cut for another card and the rest of the Die-namic Stars.  This sentiment is from another a la mode set called Birthday Girl.

That's it for me today.  Have a great weekend!  Be sure to stop by the MFT Gallery on SCS to see all of the fabulous entries...and to play along too!
